This dish was good, but not as amazing as I'd hoped it would be based on the other reviews. It didn't have as much flavor as other recipes that called for whipping cream instead of milk and half and half. Not as healthy, but way better taste!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Delicious!! We loved them. Cooked them at 300 deg since another reviewer recommended to cook at a slightly lower temp. Spread them out a bit after putting batter on skillet. Thanks for the great recipe!

The Old Boy's Strawberry Pie

My husband and son both thought this was one of the best desserts I have ever made. A homemade crust is a must. If you don't like strawberry jam, you won't like this. I used a bag of frozen strawberries--let them thaw, drained them and they were ready to use in the recipe.

I like this recipe for thin crust. A word of caution though--I tried to make it with 1/3 whole wheat flour and it was terrible. Stick to the original with this one!

Thin Mint Crackers

These are great! I used chocolate-flavored almond bark instead of expensive chocolate. It is so much easier to work with--no double boiler required, won't seize up... Unless you're a super-taster, you won't care and it is a lot cheaper, too.

Scarlett's Best Ever Sugar Cookies

Fabulous texture--We liked them best with extra pecans added in and rolled in colored sugar before being flattened. The kids liked squirting designs on them with Wilton's Cookie Icing. We will definitely be making these again.

Potato Croquettes

Added more cheese and some flour to the potatoes as some had suggested. Used Panko crumbs instead of regular so that they turned out nice and crispy on the outside. Will make again---will try with sharp cheddar next time. 4 cups of potatoes made too much for 4 servings--will cut in half next time.

Coconut Bon Bons

These are wonderful and fun to make. NOTE: I would recommend adding a little extra powdered sugar and refrigerating the dough a bit prior to rolling into balls to reduce the stickiness. Skip the double boiler and microwave the chocolate/shortening at reduced power. I love these, and I'm not even a huge coconut fan usually!
