Soft-N-Fluffy Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
awesome, awesome, awesome! This is the first bread recipe that I've made and my husband actually made a request for more!! I skipped the wheat gluten because I didn't have any and still awesome! I made them the first time for burgers and made them again today for lunch sandwiches!

Curry Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
This was really awesome, I kind of put my own twist on it and followed some of the other reviews. I did not use orange juice or orange zest, I replaced the two with pineapple juice. Instead of canola oil I used olive oil. My lamb was stored in a dry rub of curry powder, seasoned salt, garlic powder and pepper, so as it thawed it got a little marinade. I served with baked broccoli and mashed potatoes! It was a hit with the fam, even my kids loved it!

Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
It came out great. The only thing I changed is I took out the salt and added some garlic powder for flavor. I also used Chef Johns tips for baking to get a crispy bottom crust. Baked on the bottom of the oven at 550 for 4 minutes, then moved to middle rack for 6 minutes, came out great and cooked in no time at all. I used my kitchen aid to knead the dough, so this was virtually no work at all! I love home made pizza!

Baking Powder Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
These were great, exactly what I was looking for. I followed the recipe exactly. Next time I'll probably make some tweaks and use smart balance instead of shortening and add some seasoning for flavor. I'm also thinking about doubling the recipe and cutting them larger!

Monkey Bread Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
I thought they were great! I used my own biscuit mix and seasoned in cinnamon and sugar, decided to pass on the apple spice.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
I chose this recipe because it had very little ingredients and I jump at any chance to bake over stove top cooking. It was really good. I'll keep it in my arsenal and maybe play around with it in future to cater it more to my families likes. Update - when I tried this a second time, I realized that I had forgotten to add butter! duh, but so so good, a keeper for sure! I even used some of the remaining mix on chicken breast and it was delicious.

Chicken and Pasta in a Mango Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
This was delicious. I've been trying to experiment more and not just cook the same foods all the time. All I had on had was a jar of mango and milk, no cream. So for the sauce I used 1/2 cup mango juice, 1/2 cup 2% milk and 2 tbsp cornstarch to thicken. I also added some sweet peppers for added color, 5 instead of 3 garlic cloves and 3 tspn ginger instead of the 1. It was very delicious! Oh and last note, I used angel hair pasta.
