About this Cook
I am a mother and a parish pastor and somehow I still find time to cook dinner four or five times a week. My kids are hungry all the time!
My favorite things to cook
Chili, spaghetti, tacos, burritos, soups of all kinds, pizza, pie, chicken, swiss steak, homemade noodles for beef and noodles and whatever else I think up.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandparents owned a restaurant before I was born and so I have always been interesting in cooking because of my grandmother. She taught me to make homemade noodles which everyone loves it when I bring them to potlucks at church or Thanksgiving dinner with the family. I have worked in at least five restaurants when I was younger and so I picked up a lot of ideas from those experiences.
My cooking triumphs
I haven't had many that weren't at least "okay" mostly I get two thumbs up times three at my house!
My cooking tragedies
One my husband will never let me live down, because he says its the only disaster he can remember: chicken marsala. I think we just don't like chicken and wine. Yuck! It looked so good in the restaurant I worked in!

Hot Dog Chili Sauce
This worked perfectly for meatballs! I added the requisite grape jelly to this recipe when I didn't have any prepared chili sauce.

Homemade Refrigerator Pickles
Great recipe. I added jalapeƱos to the mix, minced garlic and about one third of the specified sugar. Yummy!

Banana Oatmeal Cookie
Just made these and they are awesome! I substituted white sugar with brown sugar.
