Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2014
These are a huge hit! I modified the recipe slightly by adding a quarter cup grated Romano cheese and substituting a teaspoon of oregano for pepper.

THis pie is very easy and deliciously different. I buy packaged pie crusts, which makes it super simple.

Pineapple Orange Fruit Mold

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
I've made this twice for my church. It was a huge hit and many people have asked me for the recipe. Although working with gelatin is always a bit time consuming, the recipe is extremely easy. It's attractive and delicious.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
This makes an excellent stew. I followed the advice to use extra wine (I used Malbec) and probably could have used a bit more. I also added some fresh rosemary, as I had some on hand that I wanted to use up. It got rave reviews. It does require a lot of prep time (took me an hour to get it into the slow cooker), especially because browning 3 pounds of meat takes a lot of time. But I have to say that the meat came out very tender and juicy because of the browning process.

Fresh Cherry Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
This recipe has become a family favorite -- and I use it for more than cherries. It's great with blueberries and right now I have a peach version in the oven. It's easy and quick to prep. I have a large family and everyone loves it.

Roast Leg of Lamb with Rosemary

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
I made this following advice to alter cooking times, add more lemon juice and add water to the roasting pan. Also because I cannot tolerate black pepper I made a substitution (which I often use) of nutmeg with a dash of cinnamon. It got rave reviews from the entire family.
