Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2014
We are not teriyaki fans, but we really enjoyed this. I boiled two frozen breasts in the sauce for about 30 minutes and then finished them off in the oven while I let the sauce reduce. Served over quinoa and broccoli. My 16 month old could not get enough broccoli because it was covered in sauce, bonus! Thanks for sharing.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
This was great. Used cream of celery because I didn't have cream of chicken, and beef broth in place of water. I also didn't have au jus or onion soup mix, so I used a powdered wine and herb marinade in both the meat and the gravy. Added onions. Didn't bother to use oil for the patties as they make plenty of their own. Served with mashed red potatoes and broccoli. Thanks for sharing!

Old Fashioned Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2014
Excellent! Rather than using pre-made stock I made some with onion, carrots, garlic powder, celery seed and salt and pepper as I boiled the chicken. Added some mushrooms and zucchini after about 45 minutes. We don't really care for parsley so I used thyme in the biscuits instead. I saved all the veggies when I pulled out the chicken and biscuits to make the gravy, which was outstanding. Can't wait to make again.

Chicken with Green Peppers in Black Bean Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2014
This was great. Skipped the salt, used low sodium soy sauce and a little chicken broth rather than the bouillon and it was not too salty at all. Added a splash of Sriacha and tons of different veggies. Thanks for sharing!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
This was really good. Added a bunch of veggies. I would have given it five stars, but found the dressing to be a little bland. Can't wait to make it again and tweak it a little. Thanks for sharing!

Baked Lemon Chicken with Mushroom Sauce

This was great, the gravy was really delicious. Added a little seasoning to the chicken and cooked it in the skillet before making the gravy, which I added a little green onion and garlic to. Superb, thanks for sharing!

North Carolina-Style Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2014
This was so excellent! I made it in the slow cooker-made the rub and then just used the other ingredients as a sauce for the meat to simmer in. I reduced the vinegar to 1/2 a cup, but otherwise stayed true to the recipe. We loved it, thanks for sharing.

Chef John's Classic Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2014
This was wonderful. We love Stroganoff and make it often, and this was the best recipe we've found. I used fat free Greek yogurt in place of the creme fraiche. Chef John's recipes are the best. Many thanks for sharing.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2014
These are good. I used 1/2 cup lemon juice and they were a little too lemony for me. I had a difficult time getting them out of the pan, so next time I will have to remember to grease it. Thanks for sharing.

Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2014
I was surprised at how much I liked this. The ingrediants just seem like a strange combo. I cut back on the sauce to about 1/3 of a cup of light mayo and one can of soup. Was plenty. Thanks for sharing.
