Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
Made this today and it was good. I took others advice and doubled the sauce and I made a bit more chicken so it was enough to make two pies. I bought pie crust but it gave it a sweet taste that i didnt care for so i'll be making my own from scratch next time I make this. But it was really tasty.

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
I have never liked orange chicken no matter where I have eaten it from but I gave this a shot and and I love it!! Been making it for a couple of years now and I have perfected it. I double the sauce because my husband really likes it. I don't let it sit for 2 hrs like the recipe says. I usually do it for 20 min and it turns out great.

Perfect Sesame Chicken

This recipe is great! I usually double the sauce because my husband likes a lot of it. It's better then sesame chicken I have bought from Chinese restaurants.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
Very good but i tweeked it a bit. I used 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/3 c milk, 1/4 c melted butter instead of oil and 1 c sour cream to make it moist. It was super good and VERY MOIST. It just seemed like it called for too much milk and baking powder. The sour cream i got from another recipe and just kinda combined it with this one.

Sweet Potato Pie VII

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
This was very close to the pie my mom makes but she uses evaporated milk. It was a tad too sweet for me so i may cut the sugar down a little the next time I make it which will be Christmas!! It was very good though and nice and creamy. Husband loved it!

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
Liked this but I must not have let it cook long enough because it was still very runny in the middle. Threw it back in the oven for another 15 and it came out better. I think i'll cut the flour down next time and definitely let it cook longer next time. It was very tasty though. My husband and the kids loved it!!

Copia's Penne Pasta and Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
Made this for Thanksgiving instead of my normal mac and cheese dish and it was great!! Husband and the kids loved it. I cut down on the olive oil and did not use the bacon grease since there seemed to be enough oil already considering all the cheese used. I mixed the bacon in the cheese mixture instead of on top with the bread crumbs. This is really good. The cream for it is pretty expensive but i will make again!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
Very disappointed at this recipe. I, like another user, questioned the baking at 300 degree's for an hour. I have made banana bread many times and never baked it so low. I was attracted to this because of the sour cream. I had a recipe that was similar but lost it and have been looking for another good one ever since. But this one was horrible. The bread was no where near done after an hour and once I bumped it up and they were done the texture and consistency was not good at all. Wouldn't recommend and would not use it again.
