Broccoli Beef II

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
This was not my favorite dish but it was perfectly edible. I will probably not make it again. I think I would prefer a thicker and more flavorful sauce.

Sauteed Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
Absolutely delicious! We had this as a dessert one evening topped with whipped cream. We had leftovers, so the following morning we spooned it over our oatmeal for breakfast. This is a keeper.

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
Delicious! My hubby loved it and that is always a good thing! I sauteed the onions prior to mixing it into the soup mixture. I also used half and half.

Black Bean Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
This is a wonderful and refreshing addition to any Mexican dish or even to use as a dip. I added cilantro and just used plain sweet corn instead of the Mexicorn. The cumin makes this salad pop with flavor. I will definitely make this again.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
WOW! This was the best cake I have ever made from scratch, and is really easy! My husband took some to work today and he keeps sending me messages about how yummy the cake is. I made this as a double layer cake and left out the pecans because we don't care for them. Other than that, I made this recipe exactly as written. Baked at 350 for 35 min. Make this cake and you will LOVE yourself for it.

Migas

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
This is just different from the Migas that I grew up with, so I suppose I am biased. I prefer the Tex-Mex flare of adding green chilis, fresh cilantro, cheddar cheese, and chunky salsa! Served with black beans. Yummy!

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
Absolutely delicious! This is definitely a new favorite in my household. This was extremely simple to make and I followed the recipe exactly. Well, I did halve the portions to make only 8 dumplings.

Classic Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
This was great! My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so this was perfect. He loved it. Neither of us had ever tried shepherd's pie before. It's nothing fancy, but was a nice warm, comforting and tasty meal. For dessert: Country Apple Dumplings

Frosting Made Easy

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
Like some others that have posted, I did not care for this recipe much. It turned out very greasy tasting. I prefer frostings that call for confectioners sugar, I suppose. Thanks for the recipe, it just didn't work for me.

Salad Dressing Cupcakes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly. The cupcakes came out dense and tasteless. Even my husband didn't like them. And lucky for me, he will usually eat anything. Perhaps I did something wrong here. But I will pass on this one.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
A new favorite for me and my husband! These are awesome!! I made them twice this week because my husband requested them. I followed the recipe almost perfectly. I just added a splash of vanilla to the batter. You will love this!

Baked Potato Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
This dip is ALWAYS a hit and there are never leftovers when I make it. The men seem to really love it. However, I add 1 ranch packet and real bacon. After mixing all the ingredients, I add cheese, bacon, and green onion on the top. Looks just like an overstuffed bake potato. Goes great with potato chips! I am actually making it today and taking it to a BBQ.
