Apple Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
YUMMY!! It was very runny even after letting it sit for 40 mins. But the apples from my apple tree are very juicy! I did not have ginger, so like others I just added a little more cinnamon and nutmeg. I used Grandmas secret pie crust from this site. I have only made a few crusts from scratch and I found that one pretty manageable. All my boyfriend said the entire time eating his was "this pie is so delicious!" and "this is the best apple pie I have ever eaten!" It was easy to make and a huge hit with the BF!

Cheesiest Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
YUM! This soup recipe was so easy and so good! I didn't have dill weed or cayenne pepper. I did add some broccoli. Like others I just smashed the potatoes with a potato masher and mashed the broccoli with it. I think its better chunky. The broccoli was tasty in it and added color. I also added a little more pepper, but that is just how I prefer it. Very good and easy, I will make this again!

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
This dish was pretty easy to make and very good! I used Parmesan shake and bake for the bread crumbs just because I had it. I also could not find pimento peppers so I used a red bell pepper. We eat a lot of chicken so I am always looking for different way to make it...I will make this again!

Cabbage Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
Easy to make and very good! The only thing I did different is I only used 2Tbs of brown sugar just because I was afraid it would be to sweet..and then I added two chopped red hot peppers cause the bf likes everything spicy. We loved them! Will make again. Served them on kaiser rolls.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
I love this recipe. I don't change anything except I use jarred minced garlic just because I always have it and it's easier. And sometimes I just use frozen spinach cause I also always have that. It's such a beautiful dish. It's pretty easy to make for the most part. If your looking to make a dinner to impress, make this! Looks like an expensive dish and is sooo tasty! One of the boyfriends favorites! and mine ;)

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
Pretty darn good! I did make a few changes due to other reviews and taste preference. When browning the hamburger I added about 2 tbs minced garlic. After adding the tomato (I used a 28 oz can) and mushrooms, I used about 2 tsp Italian seasoning, a few dashes of garlic salt, little bit of salt and pepper. I mixed everything together besides the soup and parm cheese that I put on top. People complained of it being bland. I think the garlic and extra spices really helped cause I didn't find the dish bland at all. I did use a half cup less cheddar cheese. The boyfriend and I liked it...will make again! Thanks for the recipe!

Tex-Mex Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
I loved this recipe because it's just to easy. I had everything on hand except for black beans which I substituted with kidney beans. I did add more turkey just because I wanted to get ride of the left overs from Thanksgiving. Although I wish I didn't because it made it a little to thick for my liking and I'm not a huge fan of turkey to begin with. I also added extra garlic chili powder and cumin then called for. I actually didn't measure anything, just eyed it up. Turned out great! I didn't top it with anything and it was very tasty. Thank you for this recipe, a new way to get rid of Thanksgiving leftovers. I would make this again!

Thanksgiving Leftovers Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
This was pretty good. Excellent way to get rid of left overs. I used a 8oz of cream cheese. It was a little bland...Could have used maybe onion and some extra spices. I will probably make this again after Thanksgiving next year.

Oh-So-Good Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
This just wasn't that good. Extremely bland. I will say it was quick and easy...But I have made dishes that were just as easy but tasted much better! Could be better with some tweaking!
