I'm 25 and have been married for almost 8 years. I have two beautiful children. A son who is 5 and a daughter who is almost 3 months.
My favorite things to cook
I love pasta in any way shape or form. I also like to cook fast and easy recipes that taste like you took hours to make. I recently started baking a lot and with my family anything I bake does not last long.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is very southern and will fry just about anything. We really don't have any traditions when it comes to cooking. My Grandmother is a wonderful cook and loves to cook for her family. On any given day my Grandmother will feed somewhere between 5-20 members of our family. I know it sounds daunting but my Grandma would have it no other way. I would love for my family to be the same way when I am 72.
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean bowl of chilli and also an amazing pot of loaded potatoe soup.
My cooking tragedies
My tragedy is the same as my triumph. When my husband and I were first married he was in the military and we didn't have much money. I would cook a big pot of something that would last us for days. One day, while making chilli the lid came off of my salt and salt poured into the chilli. I tried to even out the salt with sugar (I was clueless at 17 years old) and the chilli was TERRIBLE. However, we had to eat it for days!
