Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2002
I tried this out for my first fudge attempt, and I do have to agree that it was very easy to do. I forgot to buy nuts, so my fudge was pure chocolate - a little too sweet for my tastes. I took it to work and it vanished in less than an hour, so I assume everyone liked it! thanks Kelly!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
My family raved over this stuffing when I made it for Thanksgiving this year. I used turkey sausage instead, but I think a full pound was too much for my taste. It was too much of a meal rather than a side dish. Also, I did not actually stuff the turkey with it, so it did not come out as sticky as I would prefer. I recommend adding more turkey stock to it if you are not going to actually stuff the turkey with it. All in all, very very tasty!

Maple Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
I used this recipe this year for my first Thanksgiving dinner ever. As you can imagine, I was pretty nervous! The turkey turned out wonderfully. I do have a few pointers for any novices out there like me - definitely make the Maple herb butter the night before to make the next day that much easier, "marjoram" is a plant and I went to the grocery store and found it in the spices and used that (it worked great). Also, when you first place the turkey in the oven on 375 for 30 minutes, make sure to keep an eye on it. The baste cooked very quickly on top of the skin and burnt, I just wasn't paying attention. It didn't matter at all since you cut the skin off before you serve it anyway, but if you are concerned about presentation then keep an eye on it. I do HIGHLY recommend using the gravy recipe included, the flavor was incredible and tastes great on the leftover sandwiches as a spread!! The entire process was pretty simple and easy to follow, and the end result was that I may be doing Thanksgiving for everyone for the rest of my life!!! Thanks so much, Lipo!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
I made these for my Thanksgiving dinner as one of my side dishes this year, and my husband has demanded I make them every year! They were so good, I even accidentally overcooked them and they still tasted fantastic! The pecans add the best touch. Thanks Heather!
