American Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
We LOVED this. I used just 1T of the brown sugar, and it was just the right sweetness for me. I used the no bake lasagna noodles, which were super easy. My husband said it was the best lasagna he had ever eaten.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2003
We didn't really like this. Too sweet, maybe. I can't put my finger on what it was that we weren't crazy about, but we won't make this again.

Tomato Spinach and Bean Burrito

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2003
No one liked this at all. It needed some other kind of flavor. I added a little grated cheddar cheese, but other than that, stuck right to the recipe.

Mexican Rice I

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2003
Very blah. I added corn, and that was the only thing I liked about the rice. I won't make this one again.

Alla Checca

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2003
Very good! I increased the amount of garlic, out of habit, and for once I wished I hadn't. It was a little too powerful. The amount listed is probably perfect. I absolutely loved making the sauce ahead of time, and just boiling pasta at dinner, I have a lot more energy at lunchtime than i do at 6:00! :) Great recipe!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
We loved this! I used half and half instead of heavy cream, and the sauce was still creamy and delicious. I also used basil instead of parsley. It was so good, we not only saved the leftovers, but actually ate them! :)

Spring Lime Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
so good! Fabulous lime flavor. Although the cookies stayed soft, they seemed to have less flavor the second day, so in the future I will make sure they get eaten the day I make them. Not too hard!

My family did not like this. The flavors just didn't seem to blend well together.

Coffee Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2003
These cookies were wonderful, they stayed soft even the next day. Very strong coffee flavor, luckily that's what we like. Only change I made was using a greased cookie sheet, the first batch really stuck to the pan.

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: May 15, 2003
This was fabulous. I diced the tomatoes and took 5 minutes off the cooking time so the crust wouldn't brown too much, but other than that, followed the recipe completely. I thought the ranch would taste funny but it was perfect. My husband thought it was alfredo sauce. Wonderful pizza!

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2003
This was delicious. I completely left out the salt and only used 1 tablespoon of oil. I also splashed a few drops of vodka over the finished sauce right before I served it, due to a few reviews that were disappointed there was no vodka flavor. The sauce was a bit thinner than we are used to, but it was still fantastic.

Easter Basket Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2003
What a beautiful cake! We used crepe paper instead of ribbons, and wound 2 different colors around the foil handle, and then tied a big bow on top. The round part of the cake that was cut out was frosted, decorated and given to the one person at the table who hated coconut. I can't wait to make this next year when my son is old enough to help me decorate it!

Rigatoni Florentine

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2003
This was very good! I made a few small changes. I took advice from previous reviewers and I added 1/2 cup grated parmesan to the finished sauce, and I also used half and half instead of heavy cream. The sauce came out very creamy and thickened nicely. I also doubled the garlic and used frozen chopped spinach. It made a lot of sauce, and for once, a recipe that says it served 4 actually did. This would also be yummy without the chicken, as it took my husband several bites before he realized the chicken was even in there. Great recipe, I'm definitely keeping this one!

Garlic and Herb Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2003
Great marinade. We let the chicken sit for 3 hours, and would have done longer if we hadn't been so hungry :) I doubled the garlic. Yummy!

Gooey Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2003
This was fantastic. I baked it for a little less than the recipe called for, maybe 5-10 minutes less. Next time I will make sure that I don't forget to hit the sides of the pan with the cooking spray, I wasn't paying attention and only sprayed the bottom, and the cake really stuck to the sides. Besides that, it was a wonderful dessert.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2003
Wow, this was so good!! I used Italian seasoned bread crumbs with a little black pepper added in. I only made 2 chicken pieces (not 4) but i did not cut the recipe in half. There still seemed to be just the right amount of oil/garlic and crumbs. I also used 5 large garlic cloves, so I used way more garlic than was called for. Any remaining oil/garlic was drizzled over chicken right before baking. I would definitely recommend 5 cloves per 2 chicken breasts, it turned out very flavorful but not overpowering. Absolutely wonderful chicken!

I was not impressed with this. It seemed very bland, and no one really liked it. I added a chopped onion, but other than that, I stuck right to the recipe.

Pretty good, though too much sugar for my tastes. I added more ginger ale until the sugar seemed just right. After that, it was yummy.

Sauce Rosee

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2003
I was disappointed in this sauce, from the reviews I expected better. I took advice from others and cut the oil to 3T, but other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. It wasn't bad, we just didn't care for the taste. I doubt we'll be making it again.
