I had a couple of issues with this cookie. First off, you need to add more sugar. Cookies were rather bland without atleast 1/2 cup extra sugar and double vanilla extract. I refrigerated the dough for 1 hour, since the directions said that was the minimum requirement. You ABSOLUTELY couldn't work with this dough after 1 hour refrigeration. Cookie cut outs were impossible and yes I mixed the dough by hand. I ended up making regular round cookies with the dough I spared and those were good, though not the best sugra cookie I ever had.
