Best Ever Chocolate Cutout Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
These were amazing! In the past I usually have trouble with cookie cutter type cookies, however these were great. I never had trouble with the rolling and they never fell apart at any point even after they were baked. They tasted great and they still had a slightly soft texture, which I preferred. I highly recommend these.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I really liked this icing recipe, it was easy to make although the amount of milk given I thought was not enough I added about 2-3 more teaspoons. I used vanilla extract instead of almond and it still tasted great.

Butternut Squash Supreme

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
This was amazing!!! I followed the recipe exactly except I baked the squash in the oven, this way I didn't have to peel it. I just put it in a dish with a couple inches of water and baked at 400 for about an hour until tender. I also added bacon, a dash of cayenne and a dash of mild curry powder and reduce the salt a bit due to the added bacon. Everyone loved it, even the squash haters enjoyed some. I can't wait to male it again!!

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
This was delicious! What a simple way to jazz up a jar of alfredo sauce. I loved this my kids however found it bit too spicy, so next time I will probably cut back on the cayenne. I didn't put in any garlic because I used a roasted garlic alfredo sauce. Will be making again for sure.

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
This was super easy and came out great!! I boiled the mixture for 2 minutes after a full rolling boil was achieved as previous people mentioned and they turned out great! They set they way they were supposed to and were not crumbly. Also i didn't stir the mixture a lot, only to combine and then once or twice after that, which I think made a difference. Will for sure make these again and probably often!

Chocolate Chow Mein Clusters

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
These were fantastic and so easy to make!! I melted the chips on the stove (double broiler) so I could keep a better eye on the melting. The first time I made it I followed the recipe exact, the second time I didn't have enough butterscotch chips so I used peanut butter chips, I also used twice as many noodles and crushed the peanuts, turned out better than the first time! Will definitely make often.

Garlic-Herb Roast Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
This was fantastic. I didn't have any fresh herbs so I used dried herbs and I added a bit of lemon juice. I also made it in the slow cooker. The juice from the bottom made an excellent gravy (although a little salty). Will definitely make again!

Deer Chop Hurry

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
This tasted fantastic as is, we really enjoyed it. However I found it a bit sweet so next time (there will be a next time!) I will probably cut back on the sugar and maybe ad a couple Tbs. of apple cider vinegar, just to suite my tastes better. We served over buttered egg noodles and buns.

Sausage, Peppers, Onions, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
It tasted pretty good, however when following the recipe exactly it lacked flavor so I added more Italian seasoning throughout the browning and sauteing process. Also if you cut the potatoes to thick it will take longer to cook, so cut them thinner than it says in the recipe. Overall not bad.

Summer Corn Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Was fantastic, however everyone agreed that 2 onions were way too much, all we could taste was the onions. Next time I will reduce the onion to 1 and also reduce the oil to about half. The jalapeno added a nice touch of heat that everyone liked.
