About this Cook
I love to cook and especially love to challenge myself in the kitchen with new techniques and recipes. So far I haven't been disappointed!
My favorite things to cook
I love using fresh herbs, especially in Italian dishes. I like hearty recipes that are comforting, as well as healthy dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom and I have always made Christmas candy - peanut butter balls, cookies, and Pumpkin bread. This is a tradition I look forward to every year! A good bottle of wine, Christmas tunes, and mother-daughter bonding over candy - you really can't beat that!

Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Bacon Cookies
I make this recipe all the time because everyone always requests these super yummy cookies! I do not change anything about the recipe and it always turns out great. Do note that the batter is a little drier than what you may be used to, but don't deviate from the original recipe - I promise it will turn out.

Slow Cooker Chicken Marrakesh
This was so yummy and super easy to prepare. I was a little apprehensive because I have never cooked a Morrocan-style dish, but this is a great one to start with. I served it over couscous and my hubby raved about it! Also, it's even better the second day after the spices have really had a chance to blend together.

Italian Herb Bread I
This was my first time making bread, and I will definitely use this recipe again! It was surprisingly simple and smelled delicious. I made this for a dinner party and got rave reviews from my friends. I did substitute Parmesean cheese for the Romano cheese (my grocery store is seriously lacking in the cheese department!), but the change seemed to work fine. I also baked it for about 10 extra minutes as it still looked a little doughy. I highly recommend this recipe, especially if you haven't baked bread often!
