I am a wife of 18 years and a mother of 2 boys, my oldest son 15, has a jpa and hydrocephalus, my younger son 11 has svt and med, I am the Hydrocephalus Angels Over America Ohio Advocate (http://www.hydroangelsoveramerica.org/), trying to get the word out for this terrible disease that many people have that many have never heard of.
My favorite things to cook
Anything, I love to bake, grill, experiment with different things, I will try to cook anything once, twice if I mess it up,
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holidays, the more I get to cook the happier I am, I get sort of an adrenaline rush from getting to cook a large meal! Every Mothers Day and Fathers Day, I cook very special cakes for my Mother (my father passed away in 2010) and my husband and his parents, in 1012 for Mothers Day I made cakes that resemble jewelry boxes, for Fathers Day I made cakes that resemble tackle boxes,
My cooking triumphs
Anything that I cook that my family loves I consider a triumph! My family is very hard to cook only one meal for, my 15 year old is a borderline vegetarian,
My cooking tragedies
lol This is pretty embarrassing,I have always taken great pride in how good my cakes have always turned out, When my 15 year old was turning 10 he wanted a Spongebob cake, one like I make where it looks like Spongebob, I wasn't feeling good and I just didn't have any energy that day, that cake made Spongebob look like a zombie, to this day I am not sure what I did wrong, It looked like Spongebob but it was also so evil looking that it actually gave my youngest who was 6 at the time nightmares for 2 nights!!! Im thinking its time to attempt that again!!
