This is a great recipe. I followed other review advice and upped the flavours a little. I used locally made onion-garlic cream cheese, cooked up thick sliced bacon at home (instead of bacon bits), and chopped it up, used whole wheat flour, italian flavoured bread crumbs, organic whole milk, and sharp cheddar cheese.
I also laid them out on wax paper on a cookie sheet, and froze them after coating them. once they were frozen i put them in a large freezer ziplock for later use. i bake them in the oven @ 375 F (or the toaster oven), for about 10 minutes or until the cheese starts oozing out (as suggested by another reviewer)
it is also a good idea to blache the peppers before stuffing them, i usually don't, and they have a little crunch, but i don't mind this. and also: if you like them real spicy, keep some of the pepper seeds in your mixture. and if you have any mixture left, you can use it just like regular cream cheese :-)
