Antipasto Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
This was okay. I personally did not love the dressing, it pretty much tasted like pizza sauce to me, which was a little odd. I might make this again.

Rigatoni Florentine

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
I used Bow-Tie pasta because that's what I had on hand. I also used evaporated milk because I had that on hand as well. I added a little bit of Basil. The type of spagetti sauce I used was a four cheese. After adding the mozarella I thought that it was a little too cheesy but my husband loved it that way. I gave this a 4 star and not a five only because it felt like it was missing something, I think it might could use some wine or something. Other than that it was a great and simple recipe.

Elaine's Sweet and Tangy Loose Beef BBQ

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
The meat was nice and moist. I have made many different versions of BBQ beef, this one is not my personal favorite but it comes in a close second. This one is the new favorite of my husband. I think next time I might try adding some onion to the second half of cooking to give it a little extra flavor.

Hotdish No One Likes

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
Nothing special but everyone in my family will eat it. I added onions and seasoned with a little garlic salt and some pepper. Also, I didn't have tomato soup so I just poured some tomato sauce on top. I told my 5 year old that this is just like the tin foil dinners we eat when we are camping. She gobbled it up!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2003
This was a very good dish, that had a different taste to it than what I am used too, which is really woke up my taste buds. I wasn't exactly sure how to serve this, it seemed "naked" by itself. I paired it with spanish rice and refried beans. I ate it all separate but my husband rolled it all up in a tortilla. I am sure that I will make this one again.

Southern Living Magazine's Chicken-Fried Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2003
Very Very Good. I reduced the amount of red pepper to just a dash but other than that I made this exactly as the recipe said (I even counted the crackers which equaled 1 package). This was the best Chicken Fried Steak I have ever had.

Schlotsky's Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2003
Wow, this tastes and looks just like the Schlotsky's Deli bread. I was absolutely amazed with this both in taste and the surprising ease of making this. I made this for sandwiches and the bread was so good my husband and I ate all of it in one sitting.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2003
Definitely easy to make. Mine turned out very spicy, which I wasn't expecting, next time I might try using just 1/2 jar of peppercinis. The thing that truly made this fantastic was serving it on Schlotsky's Bread which I found on this website too. We put the meat on the bread and topped with cheese, toasted it in the toaster oven and then topped with onion, lettuce, tomato, and olive slices. Yum!

Shredded Beef Chimichangas

The beef for this was very good. I cooked them as suggested in the oven, which was very good, but I think next time I will deep fry them, to give them a more authentic taste. Thanks for the recipe

Husband's Delight

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2003
This was pretty good. I followed some of the previous suggestions of adding more cream cheese and more sour cream. It was very good but I think it needed more tomato and meat mixture, so I will probablly add that next time.

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: May 6, 2003
Easy but a little time consuming. I made this for my Italian Step-Dad. He said it was better than any he has ever had before, I agreed with him whole-heartedly. I think that the longer that this sat in the fridge the better it got.

Quick Crescent Taco Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2003
Very Good. I've made this twice now. It was great the crescent dough baked nice and flaky and was not doughy at all. The tortilla chips made for a bit too much crunch, so the 2nd time I reduced the amount that I put in. Still tasted great both ways.

My husband said that I had to give this a 5 star rating. He loved it. We are usually not big fish eaters but, had some salmon so we tried this. It was very good, it tasted a lot like teriyaki. A tasty dish that we will make again. Thanks for Sharing

My Husband Loved This and he doesn't usually care for meat loaf. I thought that it was okay. The Veggies were a good addition but, I think that it would have been better without the potatoes. I will probablly make this again for my husband.

Steak Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2002
Excellent! I am always looking for a way to use up the cube steaks that I have, because I have never been to fond of them. However, I could hardly even tell this was cube steak. It tasted just like a meatball. Also, I added some italian seasonings to the bread crumb mix, and after cooking the steaks I patted them with a paper towel to remove some of the extra oil. I will definately be making this again.
