I always go overboard when it comes to reading the reviews and then I become stuck! I was afraid of messing the pie up because I was using a fresh pie pumpkin instead of the canned stuff and I wanted it to be sweet enough. I used all of the pumpkin innards (it was exactly enough when mixed with everything else), 1 - 14oz. can sweetened condensed milk, 2 eggs (they were not large), 2 tsp. cinnamon, 2 tsp. allspice (I was not about to spend $6 on "pumpkin pie spice"), 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. salt. It came out perfect. My first ever pumpkin pie. I like mine sweet, though, and it was exactly how I like it.
