Peanut Blossoms II

I couldn't find my recipe for these cookies, so I used this one. Not a bad recipe. The first batch (10 minutes at 375) came out flat, dark, and crispy. I reduced the temp to 350 and the time to 9 minutes, and subsequent batches came out "blonde" and soft like they're supposed to be so you can push the kiss down into the center.

World's Best Lasagna

This recipe lives up to its name. The spice and sweet are perfectly balanced. I made it a day ahead, then tossed it from the fridge into the oven. It cooked up evenly and cut into perfect squares--and it looks goregous on the plate!

Lemon Pie Bars

These turned out absolutely perfect! I used the zest of an entire lemon to give them a little extra zing. The crust came out beautifully--light and buttery. This recipe is definitely going in my recipe box. My family will be expecting it again...and again...and again...

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Excellent recipe! The texture and density were perfect. I made mine in a 9x12 pan instead of two 9-inch rounds and baked it for about 35-40 minutes, and it turned out great. Consistently baked from edge to edge. Be sure to use CAKE flour and sift it before measuring. My only reason for not giving it five stars is that I was hoping for a stronger berry flavor. This tasted more like a yellow cake with a hint of strawberry than the tangy flavor of a true strawberry cake...and I even doubled the amount of strawberry puree. Still, I would definitely make this cake again.
