The Perfect Cinnamon Roll Icing

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2014
This is as good as the blurb with the recipe claims! We love it with the Amazing Cinnamon Rolls from Allrecipes. The cream cheese is perfect, tasty but not overpowering. Thanks for sharing!

Yummy Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
Not so yummy. Very watery when the recipe is followed exactly. Ended up digging the blueberries out to munch on and throwing the rest away. I will try a different recipe next time.

Twice Baked Potato Casserole With Bacon

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
This was a yummy dish! Just right for the steak meal we planned. I followed the directions as written,, but it could easily be adapted with other spices. Next time I think I will add some sauteed onions to the potato mixture. Definitely a 5 star recipe.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
These are delicious, especially right out of the oven! My husband prepared them just as directed, only adding a few raisins to the inside cinnamon mixture. Took some time, but patience paid off! So much better than store bought cans, or even the box mixes! Try them for a holiday or anytime you want a special treat.

One of the best pound cakes I've had in a long time. The hint of lemon really made the recipe stand out!

Enjoyed this. Added raisins. A dessert rather than side dish.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2013
This was really good stuff. I followed the advice of others and used the plastic bag for the coating mix, used 3/4 cup of marsala and left out the sherry. For my own twist I added 1 cup of chopped, roasted, red peppers from our garden. Also, I doubled the mushrooms and thickened the sauce with a little bit of 1/2 and 1/2 and a teaspoon of cream of tartar. My husband and I really enjoyed this and cleanup was minimal for a meal that seems a little elaborate. Now, what to do with all the leftover Marsala...

Spicy Sausage Pasta Alfredo

Good stuff and really good cold the next day, too. I followed the recipe as written and added a sliced yellow squash to the mixture. Added some mozzarella cheese too! Very good, easy dinner!

Simple 'N' Delicious Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2013
Made this cake exactly as directions read...and it turned out fantastic! All the five star reviews are correct. If you want a simple, delicious chocolate cake this is the one to try. I didn't even frost it. It is glorious in all it's chocolaty goodness without any extra bling! You gotta try this one!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
I tried this recipe twice, both times using the lower amount of flour as suggested by previous reviewers. While the taste was good I ended up with pretzel "buns" rather than pretzels. My husband said just roll the dough out longer and make bigger pretzels. This proved harder for me than I thought it would be. The three stars are for a recipe that is difficult for me to duplicate after a couple of tries, but still tastes pretty good. Hopefully you will give these a try and have better luck than I.

Super Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2013
Excellent dinner! We added garlic, chopped and extra pepper. It turned our beautifully in our 9/12 pan. Thought I'd skip the breadcrumbs on top but so glad I didn't. They really made it delicious. The eggs added the needed "fluffiness" and we LOVE cheese so this was right up our alley! Will be trying it again soon as the garden is producing pounds of the squash!

Condensed Milk Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
Great frosting if you don't want it too sweet. It worked out fantastic on the peanut butter pound cake my husband baked for his son's 28th birthday. We did not make any changes at all to the recipe. Next time I think we will make a double portion. We had enough to thinly frost the entire cake, but would have liked a little more to add curls and swirls, just to pretty it up a little. We'll definitely be using this easy and delicious recipe again! Thanks!

Yellow Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2013
This was great! I followed the recipe exactly as written and it turned out fantastic! We grew the squash in our garden and used 2 good sized specimens. The rest came from Kroger. I did use Marzetta jalapenos, 2 tablespoons or so because they didn't have fresh peppers when I was there. Even my husband, who has always said he hated yellow squash ate this up! We will definitely try it again! Thanks!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
We tweaked it a little, adding cheddar, but otherwise followed the recipe. It was delicious on a cold, dark January evening. Even my husband liked it and he generally doesn't care for soups at all. We had some crusty bread as a side dish and a little red wine. Couldn't recommend it more!

Caprese on a Stick

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2012
Mine did not turn out too well. The cheese is what did it. I marinated mine in balsamic vinegar as suggested by other reviewers. Not the best flavor for me. The tomatoes and basil were great. It all fit on a toothpick perfectly and looked beautiful as a side for a pasta dish my husband made. Just the cheese. Because it looked so good and I did not follow the directions perfectly, I will try again. Next time I will use small squares of mozzarella and not marinade or add until time to serve. Should be a quick and easy fix. I will also drizzle with olive oil, sparingly, just before serving. At that point I will update my review.

Home-Fried Cheese Sticks

These were delicious! The cheese stayed inside, mostly, and the breading was wonderful. Made some, froze some for next time. I'll be making this again for some house guests in a few days. Love it!

Tex-Mex Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2012
This is some great stuff. I love it, my husband loves it and the kids love it. It makes enough for several days and is easily adaptable to ingredients that are on hand. Makes the house smell wonderful while simmering away! Good hot in the winter or cold in the summer, it can't be beat for an easy, delicious meal. I have made it several times and have a pork roast warming as I write this. Try it soon!

Basil, Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
This was great! We used basil and tomatoes from the garden and fresh bread from the bread machine. Didn't even need to melt the cheese to make this sandwich wonderful! I will be making it often.
