Aunt Betty's Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2003
This recipe was very good and I was happy to discover that the leftovers keep very well in the refridgerator for close to a week.

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2003
This recipe was very good and very easy. I used a 29oz. can of peaches in heavy syrup and used the entire cake mix, but put it in a smaller baking dish because the peaches didn't cover the bottom of the 9x13 inch pan. I only baked it for 35 minutes and it was getting quite brown on the top, anymore time and it would have been ruined. My guests liked it served warm with Cool-Whip. This is a recipe that I will try again with different fruits. Thanks!

Ham and Pineapple Dinner

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2003
This recipe was a very good way to use the leftover ham from Christmas dinner. I made two substitutions. I used regular white cooking onions and the pineapple juice from from the pineapple chunks with some pink grapefruit juice added to make the volume needed. This recipe was good served over rice and I think that the sauce would be good with other meats as a sweet and sour sauce. Thanks!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
As many other reviewers have said this dip is great. I would just like to say that I only used three quarters of a pound of very good slab bacon. Also I used only three quarters of a cup of mayo to one and a quarter cups of sour cream. I also used petite diced tomatoes {very well drained} and a bit of onion and garlic powder as well as a small amount of black pepper. My intention was to put it into a bread bowl, but as I was cutting the bread everyone starting spreading the dip onto the pieces of bread that were already cut so the dip didn't make it into the bread bowl. This is a great recipe and I will serve it again soon!

Ho Ho Ho Rum Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
I served this cake for desert Christmas day and thought that it was good, but not exceptional. The chocolate frosting did not sound good to me so I just sprinkled the finished cake with powdered sugar.

Beth's Scalloped Cabbage

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2002
I recently tried this cabbage recipe, since I didn't have the crackers for the topping I used flavored bread crumbs. Also I added a small amount of pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the cheese sauce. This is a recipe that I will serve again. Thank-you Beth!

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
I recently made this recipe with left-over turkey. I cut the recipe in half and added about 1 teaspoon of minced garlic to the butter and also some black pepper. Another small change that I made was to put Italian seasoned bread crumbs on the top and to bake for only 40 minutes. I was very pleased with this recipe and will serve it again!

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
I served this recipe for Thankgiving this year and I would have to say that we all enjoyed it. I only made one change and that was to add 1 and one half cups of mini marshmallows. Also I noticed that in the list of ingredients it mentions 2 tablespoons of butter in the potatoe mix and 2 teaspoons of butter for the topping, while in the directions it says 2 tablespoons of melted butter for the topping. I did use 2 tablespoons in both the potatoe mix and in the topping.

Ambrosia Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
I made this salad for Thanksgiving dinner and I have to agree with other reviewers that it would be best if you cut back the amount of spices used. Also a bit more cool-whip would help it. It is good though and I would try it again!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2002
I added one beef bouillon cube to the soups to give the gravy more flavor. The gravy was tasty but a little thin. I may try to thicken the gravy next time
