Ok, let me clarify why I have started this blog.  I love food and I love to cook, and I love to eat.  Plus I believe that I use food for comfort.  What does this mean for me?  Well I find that I am overweight and have a very difficult time loosing weight.

I am hoping that this blog and use of the menu tools and shopping lists will hep me to track what I cook and what  I put in my mouth and help me come up with an idea of what works for me so that I can consistenly feel statified, yet start and keep a downward trend in my weight.  We shall see.

I have been weighing myself everyday for the past month, and I keep losing and gaining the same 3 or 4 pounds.  Appears that my body is very sensitive to processed foods, so I am going to concentrate on eating health and portion control, yet having foods that are bulky and taste good so that I will feel full and satisfied and also see the scale move consistently lower.  In the event that I go higher, perhaps this will help me find out what works and what doesn't.

You're not alone, Karen. A lot of us are concentrating on healthier cooking. I'm a long-time Menu Planner user but i stopped using it over the holidays. I ended up with more un-used leftovers (cash in the trash, ugh) and a few extra pounds, too. I'm back to the Planner again and loving it. Why did I ever get lazy? All the best to you, and please continue blogging so you can get the support and cheers you deserve. We're good at that! :) Don't forget to ask for healthy variations on the Recipe Buzz, too.
