Calico Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2002
Wow. Really good and ZESTY! Could add corn without changing the flavor much. Family enjoyed it and it was really good as leftovers. Would be great to take to a reunion or picnic, too.

End of the Line Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2006
This was great. My family is somewhat picky and everyone ate their share. After reading reviews, I used cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of celery (we're mushroomy people) and I, too, put a layer of shredded monterrey jack cheese under the ham. It was awesome. The onion I used was way too big and I could have gotten away with only half an onion. It was a bit salty with the ham, maybe low sodium soup next time. Thanks for a great recipe!

Lollipop Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2003
Melt in your mouth delicious! I rolleed the cookie dough balls in sugar sprinkles before baking and they were fabulous! Also used regular lollipop sticks instead of popsicle sticks. Thanks!

Cindy's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
This pie was so smooth and creamy! I think, however, my taste buds were really expecting more vanilla flavor and were a tiny bit disappointed. Now that I'm excited about a pumpkin pie with a touch of vanilla flavor in it, maybe I'll add a bit of vanilla extract next time. This was a FANTASTIC recipe and was loved by all who ate it! THANKS!!! I will definitely be making it again and again!

Old Fashioned Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
I used this recipe because it sounded SOOO very similar to the stuffing recipe my parents made EVERY holiday when I was growing up. I have since lost that recipe but was having my mother over for Thanksgiving and wanted things to be just right. She LOVED the stuffing and thought it was a FABULOUS recipe. That comment from a woman who has cooked her fair share of Thanksgiving feasts. What a compliment! THANKS!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
FABULOUS. I had finally decided that meatloaf was just nothing to get excited about. I have several good meatloaf recipes but no one is ever really looking forward to it. What a fun change this recipe is. The kids all liked it and ate very well. (Ages 14, 6, 2, and 1) Will definitely be making this, my new favorite meatloaf recipe, again. THANKS!

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
LOVED IT! Even my kids - ages 14, 6, 2, and 1 ate it. The husband doesn't like cabbage but he loved this meal after he took the cabbage off. Thanks BJ for a great and EASY recipe. I'll definitely make this again.

Oh So Tender Brisket

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2002
I'm giving this recipe a 5 star rating because it was very tasty and VERY tender. I, however, cooked it as stated and for the time stated and mine was WAY too dry. I will definitely cook this again but I'll cook it a shorter amount of time (ovens vary) or add something for moisture. THANKS for a great recipe.

White Chili I

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2002
This recipe was REALLY good. I couldn't conceptualize it prior to tasting it which is unusual for me. What a pleasant surprise. We, however, are not spicy people and with four kids I opted to leave out the green chilis. The meal still had flavor yet was mild enough that I didn't have a single complaint! Quite uncommon! THANKS!

Beef Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2002
WOW! Great recipe! Unfortunately I put too much meat and veggies in and didn't have enough of the gravy to really keep everything moist. Purely my error, though, and everyone LOVED this recipe. What fun, too! THANKS!-

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2002
Really, really good. Some kind of a sauce (for flavor) might be nice to drizzle over the chicken because this recipe by nature is kind of bland. It really was wonderful and everyone - my husband and four kids (ages 14 down to 1) enjoyed it. THANKS!

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2006
I used only the gravy recipe this time as I had some pre-formed "Omaha Steak" hamburger patties I wanted to "smother" with some flavor. This was fabulous and I can't wait to use the entire recipe. Will definitely make the gravy again as well!

Outstanding Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2004
Wow! This is a great recipe. I have a very picky family (4 kids and a picky husband) and they all liked it. My husband is not crazy about new recipes but seemed to enjoy this as he scooped out seconds! I will make it again but next time I will chop the artichoke into very tiny pieces. It's an important flavor in the recipe but can be overpowering if you get too BIG a bite of artichoke. Thanks for this recipe!

Taco Pie

Really good. Could add black olives (if you like them) or peppers (if you like them)to the beef or any other taco-y kinds of things. Tomatoes and lettuce on top would also be good.
