Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2015
I'm glad that I added this to our Easter Brunch. I kept the nuts off because kids don't always like them. I used one apple and pared off thin slices with the potato peeler to cover the entire bottom of the pan. After putting everything in the pan and topping with the egg mixture I thought it looked a bit dry (my eggs may have been a bit small), so I poured a bit of cream over the top of the dry areas. I may add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to the egg mixture next time, but it was delicious as written. Thank you for posting the recipe.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
I am not a fan of eggs, but I do like them mixed with other things and this quiche was better than I had ever tasted in any restaurant. I also add some diced ham which I carmelize with the onions. Lots of flavor

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2003
I did not change a thing, I loved these and my guests did too. Yes, it does make more stuffing than needed, but after reading the other reviews I knew to buy more mushrooms. I used a cookie scoop to put the filling into the mushroom caps.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

unbelievably delicious. I find that making them with water produces a fluffier biscuit and making them with milk makes a more dence one that I don;t enjoy as much.

I followed the recipe, but did not add the regular salt. It was surprisingly delicious.

Baby BLT

Good with cream cheese & mayo. I inserted toothpicks into the bottom of the tomatoes and then stood them up on a styrofoam base, they looked good and had their own little handle.

Butter Snow Flakes

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
For a cookie press cookie which cannot be gooey, chewy or filled with chocolate and nuts it is the best. They are small, crisp and flavorful. The only caution is that they are highly addictive. I could eat these everyday and never get tired of them. The flavor combination is outstanding. Thank you.

French Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
I love how smooth this frosting is and it's not too sweet. Used this on a sour cream white almond cake with raspberry filling. Happy with the results.

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
Made a half recipe, but in the end I thinned it a bit with a little more buttermilk. Stored the leftovers in the fridge. I think this would be great on ice cream or apple pie ala mode, but I served it with the German pancake recipe. If nobody is watches when you eat the leftover syrup the calories won't count- just a theory.

Caramels

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2003
Very good, creamy and chewy. I added some finely chopped pecans after adding the vanilla. I think that they are easier to handle when allowed to stay in the pan for an entire day before cutting.

Cinco de Chili Chocolate Cupcakes with Chili Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Excellent recipe. I tasted the batter and loved it, I tasted the frosting which would have been delicious with no spices and decided to add more of each type of chili per personal taste. They are just delicious and I love how they look. Thank you for posting.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2003
Very good, buttery tasting and rich. Not just your average cookie. The only thing that I will do differently is subtact 1 or 2 Tbsp. of the butter and replace it with walnut oil for a nuttier flavor without the nuts,it isn't necessary but it would be good. Can't wait to try this with milk chocolate chips. chilling the dough first is a must.

Candy Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
I made 2 pounds of these on Thursday, they were gone on Sunday with only 2 people eating them. Very good, but I am not going to make them again until Xmas because they are so addictive. I added the vanilla paste from Trader Joes and we could really taste the vanilla flavor. Thank you for this one.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
This recipe kind of hurt my feelings. I baked lots of beautiful and difficult treats for Xmas and these were what I got compliments on. So quick and easy and they do taste great. I chilled the balls and dipped them into melter coverature using a dipping tool that costs about 2 bucks at any cake decorating shop.
