Oklahoma Cheese Grits

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2005
I followed the recipe, but did not add the regular salt. It was surprisingly delicious.

Sausage Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2005
Very good. I used maple sausage, but next time I will use a combination of hot and mild Italian sausage for more flavor. Everyone enjoyed this. I had no problem with the flour mixture, I used more butter and mixed the flour into the butter in 1/4 cup incriments.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

I added some clear butter flavoring and this was excellent. I also added food coloring and the color looked wonderful. Thank you.

Butter Snow Flakes

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
For a cookie press cookie which cannot be gooey, chewy or filled with chocolate and nuts it is the best. They are small, crisp and flavorful. The only caution is that they are highly addictive. I could eat these everyday and never get tired of them. The flavor combination is outstanding. Thank you.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2005
I used an electric mixer with a bread hook attachment. The dough has a nice texture and is easy to work with. I will use this recipe for a change from my normal white bread recipe. The flavor is very kid friendly and I like the sweet taste. This would make great french toast. Thank you.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

These are easy to make and taste so much better than those pre-battered things that restaurants sell.

Chewy Crispy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2004
These are just too good. They are juicy from the coconut and buttery tasting. They do taste better than they look, which is just like a plain old cookie. A great addition to anyone's recipe collection. Thank you

Pumpkin Butter I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2004
Very good, but I would cut back on the spices a little bit so that the pumpkin flavor would come through more. This was so easy and inexpensive. Great to give as a gift.

Almond Mandarin Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2004
Great salad. I took another reviewers advice and added a bit of craisins, I also used canola oil for a lighter flavor. I made this to go with Apricot Ginger Game Hens and it was perfect. Thank you for this recipe, I will use it often.

Very average in my opinion. I may have expected too much after reading all the great reviews.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2004
unbelievably delicious. I find that making them with water produces a fluffier biscuit and making them with milk makes a more dence one that I don;t enjoy as much.

Cookie Mix in a Jar III

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2004
Very nice gift, cookies are good. I used powdered vanilla that I purchased on line from a spice company so that the folks I give it to won't have to add as many ingredients.

Baked Cream Corn

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2004
A nice change from ordinary. I had 2 cans of creamed corn sitting on the shelf, so I made this recipe to serve with ham. It still had the consistency of regular creamed corn, but the flavor was very subtle and nice. Thank you.

Praline Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2004
This was really delicious, but it serves way more than 6 unless this is all that you are serving. I used canned yams, drained and then mashed them in the can with my immersion mixer. A very nice change of pace, everyone was happy not to see marshmallows mixed in with the yams or sweet potatoes. Thank you.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2003
Good recipe, but I was unable to find 10 ounce cans of beef broth, I did find 10.5 ounces of CONDENSED broth. I purchased 14.5 ounce cans of beef broth that was not condensed and the recipe worked well. I think that the recipe should read 40 ounces of beef broth to save the confusion, unless I was supposed to use condensed broth to make a very stronger tasting soup. None the less, I would make this again.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2003
I did not change a thing, I loved these and my guests did too. Yes, it does make more stuffing than needed, but after reading the other reviews I knew to buy more mushrooms. I used a cookie scoop to put the filling into the mushroom caps.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2003
Very good, buttery tasting and rich. Not just your average cookie. The only thing that I will do differently is subtact 1 or 2 Tbsp. of the butter and replace it with walnut oil for a nuttier flavor without the nuts,it isn't necessary but it would be good. Can't wait to try this with milk chocolate chips. chilling the dough first is a must.

Caramels

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2003
Very good, creamy and chewy. I added some finely chopped pecans after adding the vanilla. I think that they are easier to handle when allowed to stay in the pan for an entire day before cutting.
