About this Cook
I am 28 years old and married for 8 years. I have one girl and can't wait to have more. My husband and I just moved back to Canada after being out of the country for a year. He's an electrician and I'm a stay at home mom.
My favorite things to cook
Everything! I love cheese, chicken, rich sauces and yummy desserts. My weakness is savory foods rather than sweet. I love to try new things and explore different ethnic flavors.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a long line of great cooks. My mom is pretty traditional but in the last few years, has experimented with all kinds of things. She makes great homemade doughnuts, perogies and soups.
My cooking triumphs
I love to cook for other people and when they're satisfied, so am I. I am a firm believer that the secret ingredient in any cooking is love. I love when I can give that away in my cooking.
My cooking tragedies
I haven't had any really bad experiences. I've never burnt something so bad that you couldn't recognize it but there have been some pretty flavorless experiences. My husband can testify to that. Probably the worst has been the dryest lasagna ever.

Strawberry Cheesecake
This turned out fabulous for me! I actually used raspberry puree instead of strawberry and it looked just like the picture and was smooth and creamy.

Tangy Grilled Pork Tenderloin
So simple and so tasty! I add a clove of garlic, ground black pepper and I reduce the honey to 1/2 cup. We love this recipe!

Old Fashioned Onion Rings
If this recipe had a 6-star rating I would give it that! Amazing! I used panko crumbs instead of regular bread crumbs and they were as good or better then any I've ever had in a restaurant. AMAZING!!!!!
