Philly Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
Made this recipe tonight and it was delicious. I added the oil to the spices, spread over my tri-tip steak and slid into a baggy over night. Sauted my onions and peppers first then seared/fried my steak in a hot skillet until almost medium, let rest and then cut into thin slices. So much easier this way and you can control how you want your steak cooked. I used a shredded Italian blend of mozz, cheddar, provolone & asiago cheese. Talk about good.

Tuna Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
Great twist on an otherwise boring salad - marinating the mac in Italian dressing really amped up the flavor. I too added chopped green olives and a 2nd can of tuna. Thanks for the great recipe.

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
Sweet potatoes don't have to taste like dessert anymore! Good riddance marshmallows! This recipe is very good & easy. My changes: Fries cut. Canola oil. Left out pepper, garlic & rosemary. Baked in toaster oven. Broiled at end for 5 minutes. But hey. Spice it to your liking! Love it! Keeper!

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
What a DELICIOUS marinade. Used it on bone-in chicken breasts and cooked on the grill after marinading 4 hours. Incredibly moist and just the best flavor. For what it's worth, I always poke a few holes in my chicken with a fork before adding to the marinade so it will get inside the chicken. Also, I put everything in a ziplock bag and massage the marinade into the chicken periodically. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
I vowed this year to find healthier versions of some of my family's favorites and these baked fries will replace our deep fat fried ones easily. They are so much tastier and no ketchup required! Give this delicious, simple recipe a try.

Creamy sauce on peas that pop when you bite down. If that excites you then try this wonderful recipe. Season as you see fit but this recipe is the bomb.

Baked Coconut Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Delicious, easy recipe. Proud to serve to guests. I suggest spraying shrimp with cooking spray after flipping to help brown the coconut. Mixed spicy brown mustard, honey, cayenne pepper & a juiced orange as a sauce to be drizzled over cooked shirmp. Thank you for sharing this great recipe.

Baked Onion Rings

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
My husband and I loved these. Used flour rather than bread crumbs and as suggested by another reviewer drizzled with olive oil b/f putting in oven. Also used the hint to refrigerate sliced onions for 30 minutes before processing. Rings were crunchy and delicious. This recipe is a keeper.

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
Great recipe. Not only a good salad dressing but perfect and convenient to have on hand to use in any recipe that call for Italian spices - soups, casseroles, spaghetti sauce, cream sauces, cheese balls, Italian beef, etc. It's all in there! Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
Wonderful, easy recipe. I use corn tortillas instead of flour for the firmer texture and use a can of diced tomatoes & green chiles instead of the milk. Also throw in some chopped green onions. The family loves this recipe. Thanks so much.

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
MAID-RITE PURISTS take heed! This recipe turns out a dead-ringer!Did not change one thing in the recipe. You must simmer all the water off, this gives you the pure beef flavor and a potato masher works perfectly to break up the meat - do this after browning and again after steaming if needed. Mustard, dill pickles and chopped onion is the customary topping but an added slice of American cheese also is good. Great recipe.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
Can I give this 10 stars? Husband made this recipe using margarita mix (with the tequila) in place of lemon/lime only because it was on hand and a previous reviewer suggested it. He poked holes in chicken breasts with fork before adding to marinade. Flavor permeated the meat that way. (Marinated 6 hrs.)Thanks for this wonderful recipe and I do mean wonderful!

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
Loved this easy recipe. Turned out crispy and moist. Hint: you don't have to put alot of mayo on and you should lightly coat the chicken, not dredge it. That's how you get the crispness. Thanks for this recipe.

Squirrel's Great Beef Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2006
I wanted and expected this to be so much more than what it was, especially since I was basing my expectations on all the positive reviews. But it didn't turn out that way. It was good, but not any more special than just a good seasoning rub or simpler marinade I've tried. This recipe has alot of ingredients for little reward. Sorry.
