My favorite things to cook
I love food! I think I'm best at baking but enjoy the challenge of putting a meal together every night, or at least trying to. My hubby is a meat and potatoes kind of guy but I love fish, chicken and pasta. Recently have begun baking bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas dinners at my parents and trying to take on some of those cooking duties and learn their recipes, especially my Dad's stuffing. I love making enormous platters of cookies and candies at Christmas time.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made a fudge that actually turned out perfect. Go figure! I put it on a Christmas tray and took to Christams Eve at my parents and my Dad kept saying that it had to be store bought! To this day when I show up with fudge everyone says "so you've been shopping again!" Also from scratch lasagna and spaghetti and other pasta sauces.
My cooking tragedies
Ha! If I can get through one week without a tragedy I'm calling it good. I'm a twister in the kitchen and by twister I mean toranado and by tornado I mean an F5 blow the doors off this place and by that I mean I make a mess.
