This is my go to bread recipe. Still haven't found one I like better.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
Delicious. Made with regular ol' white bread. Added 2 slices extra. Doubled the vanilla. Sprinkled sugar on the top before baking. Baked for 40 min, then broiled for 5 min to give it a crunchy top. Omitted raisins. This is a keeper.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
Batter was too wet. I may try again but add the wet ingredients more slowly and in a lesser quantity. The "biscuits" were still delicious, just not the texture I was looking for.

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2011
Great recipe. Grease pan and "flour" with cocoa. Use the really good dark chocolate chips (the darker the better). I used cream instead of water and added instant coffee/espresso, and vanilla. If you're doing a 9" pan, increase cook time by 5 min. You can cool in the freezer if you have less time.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I love these cookies, but made a couple tweaks. In my oven, I have to bake them 8 min. at 350 degrees (I've done them in a convection oven for 8 mins at 375 before, though). I flatten my cookies, since I like them crisper. I also put in a bag of toffee bits and a tsp of vanilla. I'll try adding a 1/4 c more flour and a 1/4 c more peanut butter, as suggested by others, to see what that does. Great base recipe. Thanks.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
This turned out as expected. The meat was tender and falling apart. The gravy was a little runny, but nothing a little corn starch couldn't fix. Family liked it well enough. Guess I'm just not a big fan of Pot Roast.

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
Great recipe. My changes: Doubled the crab. Used real garlic. Put the crackers in whole, and crush them as you mix them in so they don't completely disappear. Added a dash of worcestershire sauce and a dash of hot sauce. Didn't coat them in breadcrumbs and baked them at 400F for 15-20 mins instead of frying. Thanks for sharing. Will make these again... often!

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
Wow. Did not expect these to be THIS GOOD! I used sea scallops. Used 2 tbsp butter, and 2 tbsp olive oil. Used crumbled crackers for the top (I bet butter crackers would be really good for this...) Added extra grlic, and some cayenne for a little bit of a kick. Great recipe!

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
THE BEST RIBS I'VE EVER MADE!!! I added more sauce and baked them for 15 more minutes at 430F, with the foil open, meaty side up, at the end just to get that nice browned look. Also, before I started, I removed that white membrane from the back of the ribs (you can have your butcher do that too). Made the ribs ridiculously tender. I have NEVER had such easy clean up after oven baked ribs before. DEFINITELY A KEEPER!

I like this recipe. I wish they came out chewier though. Maybe I'll add more butter next time. Still a tasty cookie that combines the best of all worlds.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
I was really worried about this cake while I was making it. I put it in 3 loaf pans, and I was afraid it wouldn't turn out. On the contrary, it turned out wonderfully. With the oil and pineapples, I thought it would be overly moist, but it was pretty perfect (especially after putting the loaves in the fridge overnight). I did drain the pineapples though. Next time, I think I'll keep the pineapple juice and reduce the amount of oil. Great recipe.

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2006
I joined allrecipes.com just to rate this pie. I liked the pie myself, but my coworkers and roommate LOVED the pie. I think it made me look like a way better baker than I really am! I followed the advice to prebake the crust; I think it's key so you don't end up with a goopy mess. Also, I didn't do the cinnamon sugar topping. Great recipe.
