I'm a recent college graduate, and since I'm still living at home, I've recently been put in charge of all the meals! Dinners are always a family affair and I look forward to all the preparation, and especially to dessert :) Baking is my first favorite - I'm a whirlwind at the holidays. Otherwise I just like trying new things and making meals that make my friends and family smile and pat their stomachs while asking for the recipe. Breakfast. We are such a breakfast family, I always look forward to the standards on weekend mornings with my parents. I make a pretty mean pumpkin roll .. and have done a lot of cooking and baking this past year that I'm proud of. The key is having willing guinea pigs :) Egg whites! Damn them, they are impossible. I had an awful time making meringues last holiday season and just recently learned that using eggs at room temperature is a better idea.. thank goodness for learning new things!
