I'm a stay-at-home wife and mother, with three strapping teenage boys and one teenage girl (she, of course, can eat ANYTHING and stay rail-thin!). My background is Ukrainian, so we have a lot of those traditional foods, especially around the holidays. Living down in TN, I'm now learning to cook "Southern". We have many dietary restrictions in our family, so more and more of my daily recipes are becoming sugar-free, gluten-free, carb-free, fat-free...
My favorite things to cook
Depends on my mood. There are some days where I can cook just about anything and love it, and other days where making a peanut butter sandwich for the kids seems daunting. Now ask me about my favorite things to eat...... :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
As a child, it was always Ukrainian or German foods, so those will always be my "comfort" foods. My kids have their faves, including Dad's Peanut Butter Chicken, Turkey Meatloaf, Sweet 'n Sour Kielbasa.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that my picky-eater-son will eat. If he rates it an 8 or higher (out of 10), I know I'm doing great!
My cooking tragedies
Hmm... I don't think there's enough space on the entire internet to list those. Let's just say that practice makes perfect, and I'm still practicing!! :)
