Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
Just made this for the first time. Changes I made: • Doubled the amount of cheese sauce - Though I think 1.5 times would have been plenty...twice as much was probably a little excessive. • Used about 1/4 tsp of minced garlic in the cheese sauce. Sautéed it with the butter before adding the flour. • Used half the salt it called for. • Used about 1/3 more cheese than the recipe called for (so an extra half cup for the single cheese sauce recipe). Used sharp cheese. • No onion (though I'm sure that would have been tasty if diced). • Boiled the potatoes after slicing them while I was making the cheese sauce to cut down on cooking time. Also sliced them a bit thinner than called for in the recipe. The potatoes were fully cooked by the time I finished the cheese sauce. So we only baked it for like 15 min to basically let everything mix together a bit. • Sprinkled some bread crumbs on top. • Didn't cover with foil since we were cooking it for such a short time. • Don't know what a 1 quart casserole dish size is...but I used my 9 x 13 glass dish. I also think this would make an AWESOME casserole with some diced ham and peas. Might try that next time.

Berry Trifle
Delicious. As others suggested, leave plenty of time after making it for the fruit to thaw. Otherwise they are a little crunchy. Also slightly better the second day. Yum!

Simple Scones
Really good. I used orange flavored crasins instead of rasins and also added chocolate chips. Would reccomend flouring hands when handling the dough though because it is REALLY sticky
