Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2006
This was pretty good. I baked the crust for 5 minutes alone with the tomato sause and then added the rest of the ingredients and baked for 15 minutes.

Ranch Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2006
Very nice! First time, I used strained yogurt (usually found in stores as Greek-yogurt) and after 1 hour in the fridge it was ready for dippings! Second time, I used another brand of ranch which was way more salty, and the final product was not as expected, so a recommendation is to taste and adjust according to your needs and to the brand you use.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
Following other reviews I used 5 cans of clams, but found them to be too much. From then on, I've done this chowder again differing the proportions of the veggies and even adding only 2 cans of clams, depending on what I had on hand. It always turns out delicious!!! I often use milk instead of half-n-half and it works great! This is the best clam chowder I've ever tasted, and even better: it's homemade!!! Thanks for the recipe!

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: May 10, 2006
Delicious! Not crispy enough though. I didn't have any of the spices that the recipe required so I used dried basil, lots of paprika and salt, and olive instead of canola oil. They weren't as spicy but I loved them and will definately cook them again!

Barbecued Beef Liver

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2006
Never had liver like that before and I was surprized how tender a cooked liver can be! I put it in a pita bread and ate it like a hamburger, it was delicious. Oh! and super easy to make! Thanks:)

Honey Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
Very tasty cake! It turned out great, pretty moist too. I didn't add the orange zest as I didn't have any. Also, I forgot about the oil, and just remembered to add it in the last minute, just before baking (it was corn oil btw)--still turned out great! Thanks for the recipe!

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
Different, simple and delicious! I didn't have the quantity of straberries that the recipe calls for, so I added and subtracted the quantity of the ingredients based on my taste. Turned out wonderful. Thanks for saring.

Pancake Stack with Syrup

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
Followed it to the letter, turned out perfect! I didn't make the syrup thought, but I'll definitely do it next time. Thanks for the recipe.

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
What a great idea! Make sure you are adding just enough soy sauce though, cause it may turn out too salty. In any case taste before you add. Thanks for this fabulous recipe!

Italian Style Flounder

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
It was ok. Some came out ok, some too mushy. I'd recomment to bake as less as possible, 30 minutes was too much.

Perfect Sushi Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
We didn't like this at all. It was very vinigery, and its strong taste didn't let the flavor of the fillings emerge. It didn't compliment our fish at all. We won't make it again.

Apple Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
WOW! This cake is really delicious! No need to make the glaze, it's pretty sweet on its own. If it's oily for you, you can cut the amount of oil by 1/4 cup without having to adjust the flour. I have made this several times and it always comes out perfect despite minor changes here and there. Some recommendations: add more cinnamon and nutmeg, try it with walnuts or other nuts instead of almonds. My husband loves this cake! Many thanks for this wonderful recipe.

Fresh Apple Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
This was very delicious. I didn't make the frosting (I don't think it's needed, the cake is pretty sweet on its own). Nevertheless, I did had to add a little spice to make it more flavorful. I ended up modifying it to taste more like another cake that I found in this site, the "Apple pound cake." Texture and apple-dose is perfect.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
Very nice (side) dish! I made it with mozarella instead of cheedar, and I added garlic powder to my potatoes. I double the recipe and also added some extra milk in the pan after I had all the ingredients in because I wanted to get rid of it. It came out great. And with a sprinkle of mozarella on top it looked great as well. I didn't count how much time I had it in the oven though, but probaly a little bit more than the recommened by the recipe so as it thickens more.

Carrie's Catfish Larue

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
Husband loved it, I didn't enjoy it at all. Just like the author of the recipe says, it's only for those who don't care for the catfish overpowering flavor/smell. It's a good idea for something different, but I will stick with fried catfish.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
We didn't particularly enjoy these cookies. We usually devour cookies as fast as we can make them, but these ones remained untouched for a long time. I followed the recipe... so I guess maybe this is just a matter of taste preferences.

Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2008
Very tasty! I omitted the final sprinking with sugar and cinnamon. I also substituted vanilla extract for a pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg. Worked just fine. Great with your morning coffee!

Shortbread Meltaways

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2008
They were good overall, but I wouldn't call them meltaways. I did add a little bit more confectioner's sugar, as I tasted the batter and it was a little bit plain. They baked beautifully! Most probably will be making again.
