Killer Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2012
I used regular milk for both crust and filling. This was a delicious spicy surprise. My husband and I are not big fans of pumpkin pie, but I had to use up some pumpkin puree (from a fresh pumpkin btw). We both enjoyed and will be using this recipe again for leftover pumpkin! Thank you!

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2012
Tried it twice. Fail both times. They were like muffins and when I tried baking them longer, they burned. Definitely not the best I've ever had. Won't be doing again.

Super Moist Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
Delicious! Because I was missing some ingredients, I used regular milk (instead of coconut milk), and I didn't add the flaked coconut, or the nuts. It still turned out great! A bit on the sweet side, so maybe I could also cut back on sugar next time! Thank you for the recipe!

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
This was excellent! Can't believe velvety it came out, and how close was I to fixing my shelf with the chocolate I was craving! I did stir a lot through to get the velvety texture. I added choc chips with the vanilla and it was even more heavenly. My husband who is a big opponent of sugar thought that this would work better with about half or 3/4 of the recommended sugar. So I'll probably try that next time. Thank you!

Not bad. Yet I'm too used to the store bought pasta.

Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf Salad Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
Very good thanks! I love tuna, but some can brands just don't taste as good. Mainly because they have an overpowering smell. So I would suggest you use for this salad your favorite can of tuna.

Veggie Stir-Fry

Very good! Thanks for the recipe! My husband was impressed and couldn't believe how similar it was to the stir frys we get in chinese restaurants.

Easy Swedish Apple Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
Not bad, but just like somebody else said: this is apples with a giant cookie on top. I reduced the sugar in half and it still was pretty sweet. Although, I didn't use granny smiths.

I did this recipe using only olive oil and adding a ham-hock. It was delicious.

Split Pea Soup with Rosemary

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
Personally, I thought that the rosemary did not compliment the soup much, and the whole thing could use some more flavor. But, we ate it, and that's what counts.

Microwave Bread and Butter Pickles

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
These were very easy to make, hence the good rating. Nevertheless, they did come out a little too vinegary for us and needed a little more flavor. I will use this method again with another vinegar and spice combination. Thanks for the recipe!

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
Made those without the bread machine and they turned out delicious. Instead of using flour to keep them from sticking I used a little bit of oil and it worked perfectly well. Thank you for the recipe.

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
I used quick cooking oats and these turned out not cookie like, but more like a health bar. It was pretty good considering it is health food. I found them pretty sweet despite that they didn't have any sugar. Instead of 1 cup chopped dates, I used 1 cup of a mix of dried chopped dates, pineapple, raisins, and figs.

Jen's Fresh and Spicy Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2011
Added about 2tbs of olive oil, 1tbs vinegar, and considerably cut back on spicy-ness (no black pepper, no jalapenos, only 1/2tsp of hot pepper sauce, because I'm a wimp when it comes to hotness :)). It turned out super delicious (still, pretty hot for me), better than the store bought, and I am planning to use this recipe again and again! Thank you!

Granny's Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
This was amazing! I made a triple batch using 9 eggs total (because that's what I had on hand), and 3 times 2/3 cup sour cream and it turned out great! One batch was vanilla flavored, the other was chocolate (added 2tbs cocoa), and the third was coffee flavored (added 1tsp instant coffee). It turned out great, with the coffee flavored one being by far the best for my taste :) Will be making often!

Chocolate Applesauce Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Excellent! Used apple butter in place of apple sauce, mixed the chocolate chips inside the dough, and omitted the nuts! Took it to a party and everyone loved it! Thanks for the recipe. UPDATE: I also made this cake with pureed fresh pears in place of the apple sauce. It's officially my favorite cake so far and I will be making again and again!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
Never knew that I could make such a great pizza dough, so effortlessly! We always double the dough, because we find that one is not enough :) We bake at the bottom of the oven first to crust the bottom of the pan, and then at the top for a golden finish! Very delicious!

That was super delicious, although it turned rather cake-y. My husband didn't even notice that it was made with zucchini! Will be making again :) Thanks for the recipe.
