Cinnamon Griddle Cakes

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2013
Yum! Only change was to add a little cream cheese to the icing mix. Excellent texture and taste. Loved that they were so close to regular cinnamon rolls. Kids and hubby loved them.

Don't know why some say this has no flavor. I think it was great! Kids loved it too. Only change was to omit the sherry because i didn't have any.

Never Fail Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
BEST BISCUITS EVER! Followed recipe exactly and these were amazing. They complimented my roast and mashed potatoes nicely and the kids are already asking for them for breakfast tomorrow! Two things to note...do the fold over method that another reviewer mentioned to get that perfect break in your biscuit and brush with melted butter straight out of the oven!

Daniel's Favorite Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
So good and easy to fix! Mine did crack in the middle but it was just for the family so I didn't mind. This is a lighter cheesecake which is just what I like!

Delicious Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
This recipe was easy to scale down since I am the only one in the house that likes fish. This was a great way to cook up a single salmon fillet while the hubby and kids had cheeseburgers. I pan fried for three minutes each side and it turned out great. When I scaled the recipe down to one serving it called for 1 tbsp brown sugar. This was a bit much for me so I think next time I will cut down to 1/2 tbsp and it will be a five star recipe!

Twice-Baked Potatoes Supreme

These had a great flavor however were a little dry for my taste. Next time I will make the mixture a bit creamier. Will defiantly make again!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
These were odd tasting. While others liked them, I was not pleased. I spent all day making these and really feel it was a waste of time when I could have made something that tasted better.

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
I thought these were a three but my family loved them so giving them a four. Used half blueberries and half raspberries. Recipe seemed a bit bland however I think I am just use to the super sweet box mixes.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
First time making homemade cinnamon rolls. The family loves them! They were good to me but not the best. When I first started working with the dough it was very sticky and I had to add quite a bit more flour to even work with the dough. I think the additional flour took away from the overall flavor as the dough was not as sweet as I would have liked. I didn't cool the milk/butter mixture and I am thinking that might have a lot to do with the stickiness. Overall it was a great recipe. Uses everyday ingredients and I had everything on hand. Topped with a powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and butter icing. All in all I will make again and try cooling the milk/butter longer. I also used a 9x13 pan. Even though the flavor lacked a little for me, they sure were pretty!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
WAY to sweet. Tasted mostly like ketchup and I had to really work with a few different spices and added onions to get a better flavor. Husband and daughter didn't like this however my son ate 3. Will probably find another recipe we can all enjoy next time.

So rich its hard to eat. Next time will leave the chocolate chips out. Maybe melt them and do a lite drizzle over the top.

American Frittata

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
I also felt this was a good base recipe. I did use hashbrowns for convenience which made this recipe much quicker. The potato to egg ratio was a little heavy so I will cut back slightly next time. This does need a bit more flavor. Next time I think I will also add bacon, garlic, & cream cheese. Even though I though it needed a bit more flavor, my 6 & 9 yr old really liked this dish!

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
Yum! Realized I was low on butter this morning and was so glad to find this recipe since I wanted to take brownies on a picnic with the kids and they turned out great! Hubs was still asleep when I made them and he swore they were from a box mix! Made these as stated. Will make again and maybe play with some peanut butter chips next time.

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
This was good. Even after a few changes this was still missing something. I took 3 boneless chicken breast and cubed them. Added them to a frying pan with melted butter and then added salt, pepper, minced garlic and paprika. Also chopped and added the onion. Once cooked I combined all ingredients and added a little more salt and pepper and 1/2 cup sour cream. I cooked at 350 covered with foil for 40 minutes, removed and stirred as others suggested. Noodles were no where near cooked and the soup had thickened so I added a bit more milk. Cooked for another 20 minutes and the noodles were perfect. Added ritz cracker crumbs to top and baked for 10 more minutes to brown. My daughter is eating it so its a keeper.

Delicious Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
This was very good. I did make a few modications. I used boneless skinless chicken breast and boiled them. I did not have any canned chicken broth or celery. Boneless breast dont make a good broth so I added celery salt, reg salt, pepper, and chicken bouillon. I used one can of cream of chicken and one cream of celery. Also added a handful of shredded cheddar cheese to mixture and then a layer under the cracker crumbs. Cracker crumbs make this recipe! Next time i will add extra!
