Kale and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
I used regular milk, instead of soy (due to the negative effects of soy's estrogen-like effect on your body) and flax powder. Maybe that's why it tasted sooo terrible. My poor family barely got it down :(

Blue Cheese Appetizer Tart

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2006
This was a very tasty appetizer! My husband liked it. I don't particularly care for bleu cheese, but this was good, not overpowering at all. I didn't have fresh parsley so I substituted less dry parsley.

Tasty!! Very dense and chocolatly! I substituted chocolate chips for the coffee and sprinkled the cake with powdered sugar. Nice presentation.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2006
These were great and so easy to make! I made them for our bible class last night and everyone enjoyed them. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips and they still tasted wonderful.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2006
The title says it all. Excellent flavor! I used a sweet onion for a sweeter flavor. Also I did not have white wine, so I used grape juice instead, still came out delicious. I have served it with bread sticks and pasta.

Black Bean and Corn Salad II

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2006
Delicious! Lime juice and cilantro give it a wonderful flavor. Make sure to use lime juice, do not substitute for lemon juice. Next time I would probably add another avacado.

Cheesecake Bars

These tasted delicious, yet so easy to make. Just like a bar cookie. I would maybe add fruit preserves next time.

Tasted wonderful! My husband loved it. I didn't have lime so I used lemon and eliminated the tomatoes. Definitly a keeper

Deep Dark Chocolate Souffle

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
I made this recipe last night for my husbands birthday dinner. It was pretty simple to make; however I was disappointed because there was no chocolate sauce in the middle. Maybe I baked it too long. All in all it tasted wonderful, light and fluffy. I served the souffle on a big white plate drizzled with chocolate syrup, sprinkled with powdered sugar and a scoop of vanilla bean icecream. ***********For a helpful hint, I made the chocolate mixture ahead of time and set it aside. When we were ready for dessert, all I had to do was beat the egg whites and fold them into the chocolate mixture. This allowed me to spend time with my husband, rather than be in the kitchen all night. :)***********
