About this Cook
I am a 28 year old wife to a wonderful husband and homeschooling, stay-at-home mom to a 5 1/2 year old boy, a 3 1/2 year old girl and an 18 month old boy. I enjoy baking and cooking and experimenting with different recipes. I also enjoy snowboarding with my husband and soon my children :)
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook all types of pasta dishes. However, an absolute favorite thing to make is any kind of chocolate desert, of course, what else? :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making homemade french bread is a favorite family tradition of mine. The recipe was past down from my generous mom, who gives up all her secret recipes.
My cooking triumphs
I grew up in a vegetarian home where my mom never used garlic or onions when making dishes. When I married my carnivorous, garlic and onion loving husband, I was forced to make a change in my cooking style. There have been many meals where the meat was not cooked all the way through or just way too much garlic in the dish. But my kind husband said it tasted wonderful, bless his heart! :)
My cooking tragedies
I once made baked macadamia crusted halibut. The story had begun perfectly. The presentation was beautiful, my was husband starving. However, the fish was hardly baked through. Again my dear husband said it tasted delicious and ate every last bite. He must really love me! I was so disapointed. I have yet to make fish.

Kale and Banana Smoothie
I used regular milk, instead of soy (due to the negative effects of soy's estrogen-like effect on your body) and flax powder. Maybe that's why it tasted sooo terrible. My poor family barely got it down :(

Chocolate Pound Cake III
Tasty!! Very dense and chocolatly! I substituted chocolate chips for the coffee and sprinkled the cake with powdered sugar. Nice presentation.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries
These were great and so easy to make! I made them for our bible class last night and everyone enjoyed them. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips and they still tasted wonderful.
