Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
Wow! These are awesome! I didn't have butter, so I used 1 cup of butter flavored Crisco instead (plus 2 TBS of water). I was worried about how they would turn out, but they were great; crispy around the edges, soft in the middle, and good flavor. I can't wait to try them again when I actually have the ingredients the recipe calls for. I'm sure they'll be even more delicious!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
I'm going to have to agree with everyone else...this recipe rocks! I think I may have tried to fit too many in the pan, so they turned out kind of ugly (but that's how people know it's homemade I guess!) However, that didn't stop anyone at the office from devouring them! If you like cinnabon, then this recipe will not disappoint.

Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
I'm giving this glaze 5 stars, although I didn't make it as written after reading the other reviews. I followed their modifications and increased the amounts to 1 TBS butter, 3 TBS whipping cream and 1 TBS of corn syrup. Holy smoke, that makes it turn out fantastic...truly 5 stars! It set up beautifully, but it didn't get so hard that it cracked when you cut the cake. This will be my "go to" vanilla glaze from now on. Easy and delicious! What could be better than that?

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
Wow! This cake is awesome! It's like banana bread in cake form. It's a little sweeter (like a cake should be), moist, and not quite as dense as banana bread. In other words...amazing! I followed the recipe as written and it turned out perfectly. I omitted the nuts and added chocolate chips as someone suggested. I also topped it with the vanilla glaze from this site that other reviewers recommended (which was also excellent). The glaze added to the overall presentation and it was delicious, but this cake could totally stand alone if you didn't want to go to the extra step of making the glaze.

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
I made this per the instuctions and it turned out wonderful! So moist! It only lasted a couple of days, but I think it got even better the longer it sat. Next time I am going to use clear vanilla, as regular vanilla made my icing a little dark. However, that didn't seem to bother anyone else who ate this cake with reckless abandon.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Incredible! Hands down the best coffee cake I have ever tasted. Like other's, I doubled the topping, which I found to be perfect. The longer this cake sits, the better it gets. I made this for the office and there was not a crumb left. Everyone raved about it.

Kentucky Butter Cake

This cake is not too sweet, moist and very rich tasting. I made this cake for the staff at my husband's office and they went crazy for it.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
This does not disappoint! I too was worried because the batter looked thin, however it baked up beautifully. The cake is so moist with a wonderful chocolate flavor that gets better as the cake sits...if it lasts for more than a day!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
Wow! This recipe is not only delicious, but it's so easy! I love something I can make in one pan. The chicken was tender a juicy and the sauce made for an elegant presentation. My balsamic vinegar was good quality, but not great and it was still out of this world. Can't wait to try it with some better aged balsamic vinegar!

Colleen's Potato Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
I made these rolls for Christmas dinner and I can say is "WOW"! They are so light and fluffy and delicious! I don't know how it happened, but I ended up with 32 rolls good sized rolls, instead of 16, but boy I am glad I had so many; I've never seen people eat so much bread! It was the hit of our Christmas meal. I will make these again and again. I think this will be my "go to" recipe from now on.

Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
This is worth every star. It doesn't get much easier than this! Excellent as written, but it's also easy to add the seasonings you like to flavor it to your family's tastes. This is a lifesaver! Making gravy is probably the most stressful part of the meal. Now the only thing to do is sit back and enjoy the compliments.

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
Awesome, is the only word to describe this ice cream! So rich, creamy and decadent! I wasn't sure about cinnamon flavored ice cream, but it was incredible. I doubled it for my 4 qt ice cream maker and it still could have held more and believe me, you and everyone else who tastes it, will want more!

Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
This recipe is fantastic! Next time I will crush my blueberries, as they became little blueberry ice cubes once frozen. Don't limit yourself to just this one flavor. I use the ice cream base from this recipie with lots of other add-in's and flavors. It's easy to prepare and the texture is smooth and creamy, unlike most homemade ice cream that I have made in the past that turned out icy and grainy. This one is a winner!

White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
Awesome! I always follow a recipie as written the first time, but I realized after I started that I only had a half a bag of white chips, so I had to add a half a bag of semi-sweet chips to make up the difference. I'm sure it's delcious made with all white chips, but the addition of the chocolate chips was a chocolate lovers dream! I will definately make this one again!

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
This frosting is awesome! I have made it with all Crisco as well as half Crisco and half butter. Both ways are excellent. I like to be very generous with my frosting and this recipe makes plenty to do just that, as well as having enough left over for a boarder, or other decoration. This is a winner!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
Okay, if you are looking for the ultimate chocolate frosting, this is it! I followed others advice and halved the recipe. It was the perfect amount to frost a two layer, nine inch cake. (I like a generous amount of frosting.) This is the only frosting I will ever use from now on.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
I made this for a happy hour party for a bunch of men. It was a huge hit! I took some of the other suggestions and only put 3/4 cup cheddar cheese in the dip and didn't put any on for the topping. I also served it with Fritos. It's a winner!
