Mashed Potato Cakes

I tried this out with Sweet Potato instead of regular, it was great. I mashed the potato with some milk and butter for moisture. Instead of mixing the cheese with the potato I put it under the potatoes. I also tossed shredded carrots on the meat instead of mashed carrots and also added a can of corn.

Adel's Red Wine Steak Marinade

Excellent marinade. I used the dry substances as a rub and added coffee grounds to the mix. I also omitted the oil. This is similar to a marinade I use regularly, I think I'll make this one my regular. Thank for sharing.

Habanero and Goat Cheese Meat Loaf

This meatloaf is amazing. The only thing I modified was that I sautéed the onions, mushrooms, and garlic first and added tomato sauce instead of diced tomatoes simply because I didn't have any on hand.

American Chop Suey II

Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin

This had too much Sesame flavor for me, reminded me of Poke. I think I'll try it again with Coconut Oil or just Olive Oil.

African Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup

Orange Chicken

Instead of 1 Tablespopon orange zest- used 3, add 1 tsp zest of a lemon also. Use mini chopper until it's fine. (this way the breading stays on the chicken better). Also in the breading mixture skip the herbs, but add 1.5 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tsp dried red pepper spice, and 1 tsp course black pepper. When the chicken was in the oven- I drizzled it with some freshly sqeeezed orange juice.

I couldn't fine red curry paste in japan so I used Curry Powder. Next time I'll order the paste on the internet in advance. This is an excellent soup!

Borscht II

I had to add extra salt and pepper. Next time I'll skip the cabbage, tasted too much like regular cabbage soup, not so much like what I remember in Russia. Still a good Borscht.
