Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
A cake that doesn't need icing? I was skeptical, to say the least, but this was fantastic! So moist and tasty! Also, very easy. By mistake I used FF sour cream and that didn't even seem to make a difference! I will try this with the Satiny Chocolate Glaze that everyone recommends next time. Thanks for such a great dessert.

Cheese Cake Cups

Always a winner! The classic uses cherry pie filling to garnish. Universal appeal from simple ingredients, it doesn't get much better.

Crescent Dogs

So good for weeknights! Not low in calories/fat and not super cheap to make, but a whole family pleaser. I prefer using sliced American cheese.

Chocolate Mint Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2006
I've been making these brownies since I was 12. Yummy and rich! However, I don't melt the butter for the mint layer, I cream it with the powdered sugar which makes it fluffy. Then I add a few drops of green food coloring so people can tell it's mint-flavored.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2006
This was so great and easy! Loved the taste from such lo-cal ingredients. I served with FF sour cream, reduced-fat shredded cheddar and green onions. Didn't puree all of the beans because I like a chunkier texture. Thanks for the recipe!

Campbell's® Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
WOW! Couldn't be simpler and oh-so-tasty! I could only get a pork butt roast at our store and that was just fine. I didn't brown my pork first, and it seemed just fine to me. Added a tablespoon of garlic and brown mustard, just for some tang. Next time I want to add a bit of Liquid Smoke for some depth. This is not your typical BBQ pork - DH still put BBQ sauce on his sandwiches - but this gives it such a delightful seasoned flavor. We'll be making this all the time!

Easy Pineapple Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
I've been making this cake since I was a girl. Everyone always loves it! It's so moist and chewy. The cream cheese icing is what makes it "killer". Beat together 1/2 cup softened butter, 8 ounces softened cream cheese, 1 1/2 cup 10x sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla. Spread over cooled cake and watch it fly outta the pan!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

This was fantastic! So easy and delicious. I added diced celery and chopped carrots, as well as some rosemary and poultry seasoning. I cooked for 3 hours, added the biscuits and cooked for an additional hour. Yum!

Exactly what I wanted! Thanks for such a simple and comforting recipe. I followed the directions exactly, didn't find it too bland or too sweet.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
I am giving this 5 stars for how cheap and easy this is! It's tasty enough that everybody liked it too. I subbed seasoned bread crumbs and I think next time I'll try adding a little garlic powder to them also.

Candied Chicken Breasts

Great recipe! We really enjoyed this and already had most of the ingredients on hand. I used less chicken but the same amount of sauce so we could pour it over rice. Yum!

Tammy's Philly Cheese Steak Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Heaven! We crave cheese steaks every week so this was definitely for us. I used 8 Steak-Um's chipped steaks, omitted the green pepper and Italian seasoning, added Kansas City steak seasoning and added mushrooms. So good! Next time I'll use at least 4 more steaks. Served with sliced Italian bread.

Tomato Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
This was SO GREAT! I chose this recipe to use up some of the abundance of tomatoes from the garden, so I didn't use the can. I just diced up two large tomatoes into small pieces and used that. I also used the new mini Saltines (about 70), because that's what we had. My mixture wouldn't form patties since I obviously tinkered with the ingredients but I just called it "Tomato Hash" and threw it into the oil in the skillet and cooked and stirred until it was done. WE LOVED THIS so MUCH! It made plain ole mac-n-cheese dinner actually something to enjoy! Thank you so much for this recipe, we'll be having this again and again!

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
These were great - received lots of compliments! Easy to do, especially with the newer non-perforated crescent roll doughs and quick. I added a shake or two of Italian seasoning to the dough before rolling up and heated the pizza sauce in the microwave a bit before serving. Yum!

Ham and Beans

My mom used to just boil ham with these beans and water, so you can imagine how much better this recipe is to me! Love the sweetness with the spiciness. Very comforting on a cool fall evening.

These are so good! We don't like coconut so we just roll in confectioners sugar and I usually halve the cherries or my cookies get too large. Love the almond extract and cherry combo!!!

Corn Pudding II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2006
I had never had anything like this before. I tried it for my first Thanksgiving dinner and it was AWESOME. I don't usually process the corn until smooth because I like a few kernels left whole for some texture. Also, I like to add a teaspoon of vanilla. This has become a Thanksgiving tradition at my house for the last 5 years.

Seafood Lasagna II

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
This ROCKS! I made this for Christmas dinner and got rave reviews. Per other reviews, I skipped the scallops and used 2 pounds of shrimp and 1 pound of real crabmeat. I used garlic-flavored alfredo sauce and added TWO cloves of garlic. I also chopped the shrimp into bite-sized pieces. Although this doesn't look all that glamorous, it tastes like sheer indulgence. Really good with garlic bread and a spinach salad. Thank you for this recipe!
