Very good! I added cayenne pepper cuz I like it spicey and I added gumbo file just for an added flavor. I will be having this at least once a week as a low fat meal! Loved it.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
This was pretty good. I used fresh herbs and I used waaayyy to much so it had a strong herb flavor, but I could tell if I use the correct amount next time, it will be good. Not as good as my moms though! But none the less...

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
This was good. First time I ever made green bean casserole as it is not a 'norm' dish for most southern african americans. I was pleasantly surprised! Yummy!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
This was the best homemade mac & cheese I have every tasted! The cottage cheese gave it a unique flavor! I used the packaged shells that came in an assortment of shapes for variety! The bomb! Loved it.

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
Yum! I added garlic salt and chili pepper. It was easy to slice into sticks after I placed it in the microwave for about 3-4 minutes to soften it a little, so try this if it is hard to slice. It sliced like a regular potatoe. I ate this with some baked chicken that I seasoned and it was really good! My mouth was screaming Yes! Yes! Yes!

Chess Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
My fiancee asked me to make a chess pie for his office potluck and not only did I not know how to make it, I never even heard of it! I decided to look it up here and found this recipe, and I am glad I did! It turned out great! I made enough for 2 pies. I did modify with buttermilk instead of evap. milk and half brown sugar/half white. The rest I followed exactly and it was delicious. I was scared it would be firm enough like some other users said, but I left it in the oven until it was cool and it had a great texture! 5 stars!! Thanks.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
This was so the bomb! I did make some changes. I first sauteed fresh spinach with a can of spinach because the fresh spinach wasn't enough. Then I added paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, & cayenne pepper to the seasoning along w/ everything else. Instead of stuffing chicken breast with the mixture, I spread it at the bottom of my pan, then added the chicken(both legs and chicken breast tenders)evenly on top. I then cut up my bacon and placed that in a layer on top and baked. It was so, so good! I am an amatear cook, but this recipe made me feel like a pro! Will definitely make it a family meal!

Carrie's Catfish Larue

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2007
This recipe was a great idea! I added some minced fresh garlic to the sauce and a teaspoon of garlic powder. We love garlic! And it came out really good. We also used steaked catfish that we caught ourselves and grilled them! Then poured this sauce over it. All I can say is Yum! Delicious! This is a keeper!
