Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2011
I followed this exactly except subbed more chocolate chips for walnuts :) Very good and easy! The cookies are like little cakes and they're delicious, and it's true, they're even better the next day.

Polish Cabbage Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
So simple, but so good!! I halved the butter and used 1/2 can beef broth, since I prefer that flavor and texture. I also added crumbled bacon to the mix. Delicious!

Lemon/Orange Ice

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
I had limes on hand so used them instead of lemons. It's worth the juicing effort; it tastes like the best creamsicle you could imagine. Delicious!

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
This turned out "good." I followed the recipe exactly but will definitely half the amount of mint extract next time; at this quantity it almost tasted like candy cane ice cream. It was also a little icey instead of creamy, so whole milk might be in order. Lastly, I don't see any need for food coloring.

Banana Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2011
This recipe had good flavor from just the vanilla; I didn't need to add bananas. It tastes more like a custard than an ice cream, and is best after a few minutes so the ice crystals melt. Definitely worth a try!

Dazzlin' Chicken -n- Dumplin's

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
This was delicious. We ended up almost doubling the amount of water, and it was still very thick. I recommend using bone-in chicken as the stock was fantastic. The celery could also use a shorter cook time. Thanks for posting!

Quinoa Stuffed Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
I was a little skeptical of the ingredients, but this was so easy and good! I didn't have mushrooms on hand so I replaced them with black currants. Delicious.

Rainbow Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
My whole family loved this recipe! I used almond filling instead of paste, and added butter and cream to the melted chocolate. I only left the weight on the cakes for an hour and they still came out perfect!

These were tasty, though they were extremely hard to remove, even from greased parchment paper!

This was so easy and tasty, it would complement anything from a lamb dinner to a healthy caesar-ish salad.

I about quadrupled the amount of barley to make a nice thick soup. Very good!

Triple Berry Crisp

I used all blackberries, though I imagine you can't go wrong no matter what mixture of berries you use. This was phenomenal!

Blackberry with Red Wine Sorbet

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
This was a time-consuming recipe; I thought it would be worth it in the end, but the little bit of wine overpowered the taste of the blackberries that we'd worked so hard to procure. I would make again with less or no wine.

Needs more eggplant vs. all other ingredients (I used a large and wished I'd had two), otherwise very good!

Green Tomato Pie III

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2010
This was runny for me even after adding 3/4 cup flour. It also took a full hour to bake, and the filling still had a lot of crunch. I couldn't get over the slight weirdness of the taste, at least not without going deep a la mode! Overall it was really interesting; I'm glad I tried it.
