Kim's Garlic Breadsticks

For some reason I don't think my dough raised, or at least not much. They were extremely dense after baking. Too bad. Won't attempt to make again.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

I've made a few other fancy french dip recipes over the years, but none beat this uber simple one! Love it. Added sauteed green peppers and onions to sandwiches. Yum.

Grandpa's Classic Coney Sauce

I was expecting more of a liquidy sauce...is that a coney dog or chili dog, i don't know. This isn't bad, but reminds me of sloppy joes. Oh well, at least I now know the meat-in-the-food-processor trick I'll use for several recipes in the future, like spaghetti sauce, sausage gravy, etc. I'll keep looking for the perfect sauce in the meantime.

Sloppy Joes II

These have an excellent flavor! I doubled the recipe, used only 1 C ketchup and 1/2 C Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce. I browned the meat with the onion and green pepper, then mixed everything else in and threw it in the crockpot on Low until we were ready to eat. Thanks for the recipe.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

This is a gret recipe I've made several times. Don't need to change a thing about it. I never have Sherry, so I leave it out or sub something that is recommended in it's place. Serve w/ mashed potaotes and corn (just like picture). Very very good and inexpensive.

Smoked Sausage with Pasta

If you like smoked sausage, this "sauce" had great flavor. Personally, I don't care for smoked sausage but thought that this would be good with some chicken or shrimp.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Super yummy. Yes, it is spicy but not bad. I didn't have Red Pepper Flakes so I subbed Ground Red Pepper. I served the kids the chicken, and pasta mixed with a little butter (no sauce). Great, affordable recipe. Fresh basil is a must!

Cajun Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

My husband made this tonight (perhaps that's where the problem started, haha!) and it didn't turn out very good at all. It tasted like bland gravy with mushy sausage in it. It didn't have very much flavor. Perhaps he needed to go heavy on the seasoning. Won't make again.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Loved it! I doubled the sauce ingredients, except for the seasoning, and added a small can of mushrooms on top. Used chicken broth instead of wine. You should most definately double the sauce!! I also cut each breast into 4 big chunks to ensure it cooks through, and is easier to serve. It's amazing leftover too..the sauce thickens. I agree with another reviewer that said she wants to drink the sauce! I freakin' love this recipe!

Pot Roast Dips

Yummy! I used beef broth instead of water, but left everything else the same. Toasted the buns w/ cheese on them in the oven, then added meat. I do wonder why this recipe states that it would make 12 servings though. I used a 1.4# roast for just my husband and I, and it made just one large sandwich for each of us.

Creamy Cranberry Salad

Really good and easy. I totally forgot to add the cream cheese to the whipped cream, but it still was wonderful! I may just make it that way next time too. I tried shredding my Red Delicious apple, but it wasn't working too well, so I diced it up real small. I used Raspberry jello. I think Cherry would be great too.
