I use the brie "with herbs and spices" and I love it!

Classic Goulash

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2013
The flavor was perfect, but 3 cups of water is way too much. I used 2 cups and about 3 1/2 cups of pasta and it was still a little soupy. Next time I'm thinking 1 cup of water and about 2 1/2 cups of pasta. But seriously, incredible flavor, and super easy to make. A total keeper.

Jalepeno Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
Loved it! I added scallions and an extra jalepeno, and next time I might skip the olives.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
I loved it! I used the entire onion (it was small) but that's all I changed. I served it to some friends & I just sent them the recipe. So easy to make! Updating - I gave been making this recipe a few years now, and I am now *required* to bring this to every party I attend. Thank you Deb, I am famous for your Chili.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
These are great! I leave some of the membrane to give them a little kick. Very easy to make, and a big hit - even with people who don't normally like hot foods.

Less Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
Absolutely love it! Although, to be honest, I took the advice of other reviewers before trying it as is like I normally do - it just sounded so good with all the other stuff in it too. So here's the changes I made: I used 1/2 stick of butter (1/4 cup) 1 tube of Ritz crackers 3 breasts and I cut them into strips (nuggets are good too) 1 tsp garlic salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning 1/2 tsp onion powder 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese all mashed up in a bag like shake-n-bake I did use the egg then put it in the bag, had no problem with the crackers sticking. Took about 40 minutes to bake at 375. It was delicious and my husband doesn't want me to change anything... except maybe make more next time. ***I've since tried this with Cayenne instead of Italian seasoning, and that's delicious too. I have also tried it with both Cayenne and Italian and that works. This is turning out to be a very versatile recipe.

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
This was wonderful. I doubled the marinade because I had some extra chicken. I added extra garlic, and put the lemon juice in with the marinade. I sauteed the onion and pepper, then added the chicken and marinade and boiled it all down a bit. This is such a keeper.

Bread Machine Pumpernickel Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
Excellent. Made exactly as is, and used blackstrap molasses - I will let it sit for a few minutes in the machine after it's done so it can "finish" because the middle was under-cooked, but otherwise it was amazing.

Bill's Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
Perfect - the Worcestershire sauce added the perfect tang - I had a larger pkg of blue cheese, so I just added to taste (difficult to measure out ounces) this is a keeper

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I use 7-Up instead of sugar and carbonated water, and I make sure to slice the fruits thickly, otherwise I find it's a little too much citrus for my taste. I've also been adding red raspberries and pineapples recently - super good!

Cheesesteak Egg Rolls

Fantastic! I made these the way I like my cheesesteaks of course, and I used fresh shaved steak, added pickles and extra cheese. These are a keeper.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 7, 2013
I used frozen peppers and onions, as suggested. I didn't have lemon pepper seasoning, and I don't think I was missing anything either. I nearly doubled the cajun (we like it spicy), and apparently I didn't read the directions very well because I added ALL the seasonings to the chicken before I cooked it up, but it still came out amazing.

Greek Penne and Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2014
Very good, but I took everyone's suggestions. I used diced tomatoes, marinated artichoke and most of the marinade, doubled the garlic, used a whole onion (oops), and accidentally added some red pepper when I grabbed the wrong bottle (it was still great) and added cream. The sauce tasted great was a bit thin, probably because I didn't have real cream and used half and half. But it still tasted great so I'm keeping it.

These were great, but I don't think they need the baking - they were just as good fresh out of the pot.

Dill Pickle Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Loved it! It was nice to have a meatloaf that didn't just taste like a hamburger. I doubled the sauce, but I'm not sure that it needed it. I also substituted 1 cup of bread crumbs per slice of bread as suggested by others.

Mushroom and Spinach Ravioli with Chive Butter Sauce

Absolutely love it! I skipped the mushrooms (hubby won't eat them) and I added chardonnay and lemon juice to the sauce. Came out perfect. I'm making more this weekend.

Mama's Italian Wedding Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2014
This is amazing! I do have to admit that I've never had wedding soup before, but if this is it, then i love it! I used a whole bag of frozen chopped spinach because we love spinach, and I browned the meatballs just because, but that's all I did differently. I was surprised that a soup with so little seasoning had so much flavor! I'm making it again tonight!
