This is good, it needs a little something...not sure what but I'll work on it.

Baked Asian-Style Honey Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
My husband and I thought this was great. I actually messed up and put the green onion in the marinade instead of sprinkling on top and it tasted fine to me. We both agreed there wasn't much honey taste so I may add more next time. I also used two chicken breasts instead of the cut up chicken pieces. Definitely saving this one!

Koula's Best Ever Chicken Gyros

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
I cut my chicken too thin so it cooked fast and ended up a little dry; like the author warned. So I'm going to try it again sometime. My husband really liked it, especially with the taziki sauce we found at the grocery store. I was surprised this recipe didn't have more flavor, but like I said, I'm going to try it again because I think I goofed a bit.

Cheddar Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
I made the recipe exactly as is and it was great. My husband and I both agreed it was a keeper. It made a ton of food though. It states 6 servings but one enchilada was plenty of food for each of us so we have 8 of these babies left. I'll see how well they freeze as the author suggests.

Spam on the Go

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
We just moved from Hawaii so I made this to fulfill fond memories. It was very good! Those who made it without sesame oil, I highly suggest try it again with because I think that really made this dish taste like Hawaii fried noodles. The same goes for the soy sauce. I will definitely make this again but next time I will add julienne carrots and also slice the spam like that rather than chunk it. That will make this dish seem more like the fried noodles I had in HI. You could possibly add some cabbage to it too if you really wanted it authentic. All in all my husband and I both loved this.

Gelatin Spritz Cookies

I really liked the ones I made with strawberry jello. I did not like the ones made from lime. Would be very good with raspberry I think.

Honey Nut Sticky Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
Pretty tasty. I cut the recipe in half for just my husband and I. I would make more topping next time. I used macadamia nuts because the store didn't have pecans (weird I know but we're in Hawaii) and it turned out yummy.

Apples in Pajamas

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
This was pretty yummy. It wasn't crunchy like I expected but maybe I needed to fry it longer. We only used have the apples before we ran out of batter. That could have been from putting too much on each or having too many slices. Tasty.

Chocolate Cut Out Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
This recipe was okay. I guess it is a nice change from traditional sugar cookies. I did have to add much more flour to make it a consistency that could be rolled out. By following the recipe as written I had a dough with the consistency of frosting - even after refrigeration.

Pecan Pie Muffins

These are very good and so simple. I made 12 regular sized muffins instead of the mini ones and it worked well. I might try adding a little maple extract next time.
