Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Super Crunch Oven Cooked Honey Dipped Wings

I made these last night for the Super Bowl. Not sure that I've had sweet wings better than these. I marinated the wings for a little over 12 hours. Be sure to crush the flakes well and really press the wings into the mixture. I ran out of honey during the first batch, so I melted butter and a lot of brown sugar in a saucepan, and added some rum and pepper flakes to the mixture. It's the breading that makes the recipe, so if you're thinking of a different flavor go for it, but DON'T skip the marinade step!

Black-Eyed Pea Gumbo

This was a big hit at my boyfriend's New Year's Eve party, and there were gourmet type adults and teenagers. I sauteed andouille first and skipped the oil, adding the vegetables to the sausage after a few minutes. I also added about a lb of cooked shrimp after everything else was in the pot. Great served with cornbread, and even better the next day. Will make this again.

I love it! I've made this several times, making it exactly as written except I salt to taste and use less cheese. Staple soup recipe, indeed.

I cut down on time by using pre-roasted garlic from the jar. Sometimes I just use regular jarred garlic, and it's still good and ready in less time.

Buttermilk Pound Cake II

This is a good recipe if you're trying to get rid of buttermilk already on hand. Otherwise, I'd use a different recipe instead. It was very good and moist, but not an all time best ever recipe.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

I'll never eat store bought again! If you only have vanilla extract, they are still good, and if you don't feel like icing them, don't worry about it. Using parchment or wax paper makes this super fast, easy, and quick to clean up.

Amish Sugar Cookies

I made these cookies along with a couple others I found on this site to send overseas for Christmas. They are light and just the right amount of sweet. I ate the 1st batch all by myself! I added red and green sprinkles to brighten the presentation. These will definitely be my staple sugar cookie recipe.

Apple Crumble Pie

Unbelievably impressive considering how easy it is to make! I threw two of these together for an International Students' Thanksgiving Dinner and the Germans couldn't get enough! I use the prepared pie dough that rolls out and fancify the edges. No one suspects that this baby wasn't made from scratch! Will be making again, again, and again...

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

This tastes just like one of my favorite recipes at a frequented Italian chain. My grandmother hadn't heard of capers and had only had artichokes a handful of times and raved about this recipe. I added a hint of sugar to blend the lemon.
