Tuna Noodle Supreme

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
Great way to get some broccoli into a picky toddler! Excellent recipe that will be going into rotation at our house. I used 1 c lowfat plain yogurt and 1/2 c sour cream and topped with grated cheddar when serving. Delicious.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
Excellent!! One of the best things about this recipe is that I typically have all the ingredients on hand, so it's a great go-to recipe when I have to put dinner together at the last minute. I substituted ground ginger and a few drops of chili oil and it was plenty spicy without being over the top (we have a toddler at the table, so it can't be TOO spicy). While the chicken was simmering, I put together a Chinese Napa Cabbage Salad and the sauce had thickened perfectly by the time I finished the salad.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
An instant favorite in our house. I use Mild Italian Turkey Sausage in place of the ground beef and it is fantastic.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
I made this for a birthday party and it was a total success. We made the recipe with both beef and chicken, although some felt that the beef had much more flavor than the chicken. We had lots of little ones eating with us, so I only used half of the hot sauce called for. We only had one complaint - Although the the taste is totally worth it (and we'll definitely make it again), we really hated how this dish smelled while cooking.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
Delicious! I made this Sangria for a party and it was a hit. I wanted to make sure that I didn't spend the entire party in the kitchen cutting up fruit so I actually put the fruit, rum and sugar together ahead of time and let it soak overnight.

Margaritas on the Rocks

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
Awesome! We ended up adding an extra cup of sweet and sour mix, since the recipe as is was SO potent. We'll be enjoying these all summer.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
WOW!! This cake was so quick and easy to put together and it tasted like a million bucks! Per previous reviews, I used chocolate liqueur instead of coffee liqueur and I topped it with the Satiny Chocolate Glaze. Will definitely make this cake again and again.

Blue Cheese, Bacon and Chive Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
Fantastic!! Very quick and easy to make too. I'm not a blue cheese fan, so I substituted with Feta and these were to die for. I did add the apples, pecans, and cream cheese as suggested by previous reviewers. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Thai Pineapple Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2006
I should have paid closer attention to the other reviews re:concentrated curry paste. We ended up with Defcon-5 level spicy curry! I ended up draining the chicken and veggies with just a little bit of sauce and adding another plain can of Lite Coconut milk to bring the spiciness down to a level we could handle. Other than my misstep with the curry paste, this was really excellent and I look forward to making it again.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2006
My mother-in-law put prunes in her meatloaf. My husband likes his meatloaf that way, but I do not. He took one bite of this and asked how I made the 'plum sauce' - he loved it. Now I have a recipe that we both like sans prunes! I followed the advice of other reviewers and cut the brown sugar in half and added worcestershire. I also reduced the amount of milk (just mixed in a little at a time until I got the desired consistancy). I'm looking forward to trying this recipe with some of the other suggested modifications. Thanks for the great recipe.

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2006
I don't think this tastes anything like the store bought Chai, but it is still quite delicious. The real plus of this recipe is that it can be made diet friendly with fat-free/low-fat/sugar-free ingredients.

Coriander and Cumin Rubbed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2006
Very simple and delicious. Based on previous reviews I only used a pinch of salt. We really enjoyed the flavor, but the chops ended up on the dry side. I will try braising the chops in chicken broth next time to see if I can retain more tenderness.

Beef Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
This was so simple and delicious. The steak smelled so heavenly while cooking it almost didn't make it to the plates. We'll be using the marinade recipe often and we look forward to trying it on BBQ'd steak.

Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola and Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
Excellent salad! We will be making this one again and again. We prefer to go light on the dressing, so I halved the recipe for that and we still ended up with enough for a second salad. I also used canned mandarin oranges and used the juice from the can in the dressing instead of the OJ. I omitted the sugar on accident, but we still thought the dressing tasted wonderful so I will leave that out in the future as well. Thanks for the recipe!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
So easy to make and so full of flavor! This one is a keeper for sure. We'll experiment with some other peppers - we'd love to find something in the 'medium' range to replace the jalapenos. We love spicy dishes, but this one was really close to our upper limit.

Mediterranean Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
This chicken is very Good! I added minced garlic and a little fresh squeezed lemon juice to the stuffing mix. I topped the breast pieces with lemon pepper instead of just plain salt and pepper. I was short on time so I just sliced the breasts open down the side to make a pocket and closed it with toothpicks. I increased the baking time to ~40 minutes to factor in the thicker pieces of chicken. We will definitely make this again and again!

Bob's Mexican Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2006
We LOVED this chicken! We omitted the mushrooms and added the cream cheese suggested by previous reviewers. We did end up with a ton of leftover crumb mixture, so I will look to half the ingredients for that in the future. Thanks so much for the tasty recipe!

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2006
Delicious! We don't care for olives, so we left those out. This now is our go to recipe for turkey burgers. Next time we plan to try them with a little tzatziki sauce on the side.
