Frosted Banana Bars

I was looking to get rid of some overripe bananas, and gave this a try. I did as one of the other reviews mentioned, and cut the sugar down to 1 cup. I used four bananas, and baked it in a 9x13" pan for about 35 minutes. I used chocolate frosting, and topped it with sprinkles. These are fantastic! I accidently left them out overnight, uncovered, and they are still just as moist today. I highly recommend this recipe!

Golden State Mushroom Soup

I become a soup junkie when the weather cools down, and I had finished my last batch of soup the day before. Having a huge craving, I found this recipe which I had all the ingredients for, and found it was a very quick-to-put-together recipe. Mmmmm! It is very good! I only gave it four stars because it is still missing a little kick of flavor. I will make it again, but next time will add garlic and probably some sherry.

Rhubarb Strawberry Jam

Incredible! I made 6 jars, processed them in a water bath for 10 minutes, and gave away four. I got four phone calls the next day saying how great it was... I had to try it, and was absolutely delighted!

Orange Almond Biscotti II

Big Fan! I didn't have almonds, so I threw in some raisins. It was fantastic! I'm going to make again, with almonds, then cranberries...oh, I bet some blueberries would be good too! I'll stop before I get too crazy :)

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Yum! I had two batches...one, I placed the rolls about an inch apart in a 9x13 inch pan, and they looked squished, but baked up wonderfully...nice and soft (and gooey). The other, I set farther apart. They looked nicer, but baked up harder and dryer... so, as long as you're not overly-concerned about presentation, definitely set them closer together, and get yourself a washcloth!

Royal Icing I

We used the frosting for cut out sugar cookies. I found the easiest way to use this is to put the icing in a ziplock bag and cut a very small part of the corner off. It is much easier (and less sticky) to spread the frosting around. This way, the sprinkles are the only really messy part of decorating!

Scrambled Egg Muffins

Soft Giant Pretzels

Very good! I thought I messed up the recipe, because the dough needed a bit more flour, which I didn't realize until it was done, and was really sticky. However, I rolled it in a little flour, and cut them into bite sized pieces, since I had a hard time working with the dough. Turned out fantastic. So, if you have a hard time working the dough, cut them up into about 1 to 2 inch pieces. Great recipe!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

I am amazed how I became an overnight baking sensation with this recipe :) I brought two loaves to my husband's softball game, and the players asked me to bring more the next week. I dropped off a loaf to my mother, for a luncheon she was having with friends, and everyone asked for the recipe. I have shared this recipe at least 15 times, in the four times I have given the bread to friends/family. I didn't change a thing, and it has worked perfect each time. Once however, I did add some chocolate chips. Thank you for submitting this!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

YUM! My mom was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so I try to accommodate her dietary needs. I used Splenda and Splenda brown sugar blend, and decided not to tell anyone. My husband raved about it, my mom loved it, and I am definitely a huge fan. I'm actually making it in a few minutes again, but wanted to make sure I left an AWESOME review. Thanks for this recipe! Neiman Marcus Cake I

I made this for a fish boil at the local fire department. It isn't really cake-like at all...more like a bar. I wasn't too excited about it, but my husband is a big fan of them. Next time, I'll lower the temperature of the oven, and keep them in a little longer. They were very done around the edges, and barely done in the middle. I'll be making it again for my husband.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

I chose this recipe, only because cauliflower was on sale at our grocery store. Wow! It is reeeeally good. I added some shredded cheddar prior to broiling, and it was a great addition. I went to pull out the left overs the next day, and they were gone. Yay! The family loves it!

Tomato Bread I

I love this recipe. I was looking for recipes to help use up all the roma tomatoes that were ripening in the garden. Instead of using tomato juice, I threw enough roma tomatoes into my little food processor and chopped them up until there was enough for one cup. It added little chunks of tomato that added more excitement to the bread. You've gotta try this! Thanks for submitting this recipe.
