Super Al's Cocktail Sauce

This is simply the best cocktail sauce that I have ever tasted. I used prepared horseradish versus grating the fresh stuff and it is just awesome.

Frogmore Stew

I made this for a family gathering in the Keys. This is simply amazing. I used the turkey fryer. I used 3 gallons of water, 2 beers, a cup of old bay, a whole lemon squeezed and then tossed in the pot, 2 large sweet onions quartered. It could not have been easier to feed the whole crew (18). I used 6 lbs of extra large easy peel shrimp, 4 lbs of kielbasa, 3 bags of green giant frozen extra sweet corn on the cob (the 1/2 ears), 4 lbs of quartered red skin potatoes. Then I made a huge bowl of "Super Al's Cocktail Sauce" using the recipe from this website. I loaded the pot as listed and used the same cooking times. Everything turned out perfect.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

This has become my all time favorite recipe on this site. I have served it at family gatherings, super bowl party, football tailgating...I even had a friend's wife ask me to make it for a birthday gathering for her husband he likes it so much. I have been asked for this recipe more than anything I have ever made. I always have to make a double batch if my college age kids are around.

Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting

Family loved this recipe. I doubled the lemon juice and added about 2 teaspoons of lemon zest to the mix and then added enough extra powdered sugar to compensate for the extra juice. It was super lemony. I iced a lemon wedding cake that is my wife's favorite (I'll post the recipe for the cake soon).

Classic Spanish Sangria

Best I've ever tasted. This is a winner. I am making this for a neighborhood party and I made a test batch for me and the wife. Wow is this smooth and refreshing. Wife kept asking for more, but I had to cut her off for fear she would overdo it. I cut the rum back to 1/2 cup and it was still potent. I used dark rum as that is what I had in the cabinet. The great thing about sangria is you can use the cheapest dry red wine you can find and, once mixed, it tastes like a million bucks.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Excellent. Made this for the family and my two teen boys had another friend over for dinner. Those boys each had about 3 huge slices of the loaf and ate nearly the whole thing (and I used 3 lbs of meat). I made the sauce and added some yellow mustard to create a sweet, sharp taste. They tore into the sauce too. This gets a A++ in my book. I was hoping for leftover meatloaf sandwiches the next day, but my older son sot to the leftovers first and finished it off :-) This is a keeper.

Spaghetti Sauce III

Made this for a Church Group for a competition. Won first place. I substituted 1/2 pound of Shrimp and 1/2 pound of scallops for the beef. I sauteed the shrimp with the shells on in some olive oil to infuse the shrimp flavor, then took out to cool (later peeled the shrimp and put back into the sauce at the very end) and added the main ingredients to the leftover shrimp/oil to cook. Used fresh herbs and chopped garlic rather than the dry stuff.

Chicken Fried Chicken

I have made this twice for parties. First time I cut into bite size chunks for dipping. The other time I pounded out the breasts and then made strips. I drizzled hot wing sauce over half the strips for a hot wing taste. I use Adobo as the seasoning rather than seasoning salt and everyone raves about the taste.
