Coconut Curry Tofu

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
Yum. It was a little too saucy for me, but really just what I was looking for. I even had this dish a few days later at a restaurant, and really thought this was better. Thanks!

Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
These taste great, but chomping down on big pieces of cloves or cinnamon is not so fun. I recommned just using ground cloves and ground cinnamon, or going to the trouble of removing the cloves and cinnamon stick pieces yourself. Also, you might want to drain some of the chickpea liquid to make it thicker. But again, tastes great!

Best Potatoes Ever!

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
Yum. I used ground cumin instead of seeds, lemon juice instead of mango powder, and added coconut (as suggested by another member). I'll definetly make these again ... like, tonight.

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2006
good stuff, if just a tad too oily. really nice flavor, though. i didn't use skin-on salmon, either, and it was still yummy. i'll definitly make it again.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2006
very very sweet, but i like sweet. my husband does not, so he didn't like it, but i swear i'll pay money to any cook here who has a recipe my husband likes. so, for me, i'll make it again for sure. if you don't like sweet stuff, though ... not for you

delicious. easy to make, too; my three-year-old loved making them with me as much as eating them.

i followed others' suggestions and used cilantro, and let the chicken sit in the marinade for an hour or so. the result? my husband, pickiest man on the planet, loved them!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2006
i can't tell if these are good or not, since the topping overpowers the muffin. i'll make them again, but without the topping.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
simple to make (really) and really, really good. i might add a little parmesean next time, and substitute the butternut squash for some other veggies; this recipe is versitile enough to do so!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
made it for my husband, and he loved it. i only used 6 peaches -- big ones though. we only wished there would have been more crust, so it would have been able to seep down into the filling. next time i'll do that. crust is good, though! any recipe my man likes is a big success!

Pasta Fagioli Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2006
recipe calls for way too many noodles and too much bacon; besides, italian suasage is probably a better choice. but the flavor is great -- try adding celery, different beans, carrots -- a good recipe to build on and make your own.

good stuff, and you could add all kinds of things to make it your own. but be warned -- this makes a lot, so be sure your roasting pan can handle it!

this is an easy and delicious recipe. i used fresh linguini, and fresh ingredients really do make a big difference. pair this with pasta fagioli, salad, and bread, and you have a complete, delicious italian meal. thanks for sharing!

Crispy Rice Candy

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2006
this is good, but mostly a good place to start. i thought it was too much chocolate (and i'm a choc-o-holic) and not enough crispies. the nice thing is, you can vary alot according to taste. next time i think i might actually break up some pretzles and put them in. i also followed the suggestion of others and poured it all into a pan; it took a while to firm, so i put that in the fridge, and then they were a pain to cut into bars! next time, if there is one, i think i will drop them by spoonful.
